Thank you for choosing the EK-IC1 Induction Cooktop by Eco4us. Please read this instruction manually carefully before first use.

  1. Do not allow children to operate unsupervised.
  2. Keep cooktop and power cord out of the reach of children
  3. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the power cord or plug has been damaged, contact the manufacturer or a certified electrician to avoid possible fire or electrical shock.
  4. Glass surface and plastic housing may be hot during use.
  5. If glass surface is cracked, unplug unit from outlet to avoid possible electrical shock.
  6. Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids should not be placed on the glass surface.
  7. Appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
  8. To protect against electrical shock, Do Not immerse power cord, plug, or cooking unit in water or other liquid.
  9. Unplug unit from outlet when not In use and before cleaning. Allow unit to cool before cleaning.
  10. The use of accessory attachments are not recommended and may cause injury.
  11. Do not place appliance on or near gas or electric burner, or on top of a heated oven.
  12. Extreme caution should be used when moving an  appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  13. Check power cord and plug before each use.
  14.  Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  15. Clean cooktop with caution. When using a wet sponge or cloth on hot surface area, be careful to avoid potential steam burn. Some cleaners can produce hazardous fumes when applied to a hot surface
  16. Power extension cords can be used if care is exercised in their use. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be the same or greater than the electrical rating of the appliance. Make sure the cord is secure and cannot be tripped over or pulled by children.
  17. Do not let food boil over on to surface, adjust power as needed for gentle simmer. You can place a paper towel on the top plate and place your ccokware on it without affecting cooking performance!

INDUCTION COOKING PRINCIPLE

Principle induction

When the power connection is ON, the electric current will produce a magnetic field in the induction coil, which is embedded in the machine. As soon as the magnetic force lines in the magnetic field touch the alloy steel pot / boiler, it will produce the heating effect, which will lead to the heating of the food in the pot.

Cooking Function

A beep will sound when button is pressed or mode has been changed

  1. Plug unit into approved wall outlet Unit is powered on Power Button LED will flash.
  2. Press Power Button to begin cooking. Fan is engaged. Red LED power/percentage icon will be lit. LCD will display power as % of maximum Power is applied to the coil with a default setting of 100%.
  3. Use slider control Slide icon or symbols to increase or decrease power/temperature to the coil. Power/Temperature range is 10-100%.
  4. Press Power Button  at any time to Pause cooking. Press Power Button again to resume cooking.
  5. If all cooking has been completed, hold down the Power Button for 3 seconds to exit “Cooking Mode”. Power Button LED will flash and fan will continue to wn until unit has cooled down.
  6. Once unit has cooled down, fan will stop. Please unplug unit from outlet and store in safe location

You can exit mode at any time by holding down the power button for 3 seconds.

Timer Function

Timer function cannot be initiated until unit is in “Cooking Mode”

  1. Press Timer Button  on left of LCD to use timer function. LCD will begin flashing. Red LED below Timer icon will be lit.
  2. Use symbols to increase or decrease desired cooking time. Time is displayed in 1 minute increments. Hold down  symbols to increase or decrease time more rapidly. Unit will begin counting down when time has been selected.
  3. Timer can be set from 1 minute to 4 hours.
  4. Once time expires. unit will return to Ready Mode”. Fan will continue to run until unit has cooled down. If more cooking is required, press Power Button to enter “Cooking Mode”. If all cooking has been completed, please unplug unit from outlet and store in safe location.
Induction Cookware
  • This unit requires magnetic stainless steel, non-magnetic metal with iron insert, plain iron steel, or cast iron cookware. Unit will not send power to coil unless induction cookware is detected.
  • In “Cooking Mode” unit will turn off automatically after 1 minute if induction cookware is not detected.
  • LCD will display E0 when induction cookware is not detected.
  • Aluminum, regular stainless, copper or glass cookware will not work.

Compatible and Non-Compatible Cookware

Compatible Cookware
Material Iron or Magnetic Stainless Steel. Shape: Bottom diameter approximately 5-8 in for saucepan or pot.

Non-Compatible Cookware
Material. Non-magnetic metal, ceramic, or glass where bottom of pot is made of copper or aluminum Shape: Bottom is uneven or diameter is less than 5 in.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Before cleaning the cooker. make sure the power is off and the power cord is unplugged
  2. Wipe oft the casing and panel with a soft cloth or mild detergent
  3. Wipe glass cooktop with a soft damp cloth.
  4. Never immerse Induction Cooker in water or other liquids
  5. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

Caution

  1. Unplug power cord when not in use.
  2. Make sure to properly clean the unit before a storing it in a cool, dry place.
  3. Do not immense unit directly in water.
  4. Clean after each use.
  5. Do not use with a damaged power plug.
  6. The cooktop is hot after cooking, please do not touch until the unit has cooled down.

Troubleshooting

If the induction cooker detects an internal/external error or a wrong connection. It will display the error message on the display panel and stop functioning. Please check for solution. If the problem has been solved the error message will disappear and you will be able to continue usage. If the errors persist, please contact us at www.eco4us.com/help- support

No light when you press ON/OFF button| Check whether plug is working. Verify that circuit breaker has rot tripped. Check whether the electricity was cut off.

Induction Cooker sends out beep sound| Check for cookware compatibility. Check whether the pot is sitting in the center of the pate. Make sure the diameter of the pot is at least 5 in.

Warning with E0| Check-No cookware on cooker top. Check-Unusable cookware.
Warning with E1| Check if voltage is too low. (110V Minimum) Check whether the socket is loose. Check if the diameter is too small. (Less than 5 inches)
Warning with E2| Check if the voltage is too high.(130v maximum)
Warning with E3| Check – the pot has no water or liquid.
Warning with E4| Thermostat is broken/damaged.
Suddenly stops heating during cooking. Warning with E5| Check to see if anything is blocking the fan ventilation verify that fan is working
Warning with E6| Cooking fan inoperative or insufficient air flow.
Warning with E7| Check power cord.
