Important Safety Instructions
Please read and keep all safety and use instructions. This product is intended for installation by professional installers only! This document is intended to provide professional installers with basic installation and safety guidelines for this product in typical fixed-installation systems. Please read this document and all safety warnings before attempting installation.

- All Bose products must be installed in accordance with local, state, federal and industry regulations. It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure installation of the loudspeakers and mounting system is performed in accordance with all applicable codes, including local building codes and regulations. Consult the local authority having jurisdiction before installing this product.
- Unsafe mounting or overhead suspension of any heavy load can result in serious injury or death, and property damage. It is the installer’s responsibility to evaluate the reliability of any mounting method used for their application. Only professional installers with the knowledge of proper hardware and safe mounting techniques should attempt to install any loudspeaker overhead.
- Do not mount on surfaces that are not sturdy, or that have hazards concealed behind them, such as electrical wiring or plumbing. Ensure the bracket is installed according to local building codes.
- This product is not intended for installation or use in indoor water facility areas (including, without limitation, indoor pools, indoor water parks, hot tub rooms, saunas, steam rooms and indoor skating rinks).
- Use only the hardware and accessories included or specified by Bose. Hardware for securing the loudspeaker to the mounting surface is not supplied. For information on compatible accessories, see the product’s technical data sheet at PRO.BOSE.COM.
- Do not make unauthorized alterations to this product.
- Do not place or install the bracket or product near any heat sources, such as fireplaces, radiators, heat registers or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

Installation Instructions
WARNING : Do not install the ceiling-mount bracket in a ceiling tile.
CAUTION : The ceiling-mount bracket is intended for indoor installations
only. Do not install in outdoor environments.
Refer to the loudspeaker installation guide for product ratings and information on proper safety cable installation.
The ceiling-mount bracket is compatible with DesignMax DM2S/3SE/5SE/6SE and FreeSpace FS2SE/4SE.

Disassemble the bracket as shown.

For vertical installations, remove the mounting plate and reattach in vertical position (B). The adapter plate is shipped in the horizontal mounting position (A).

Mark the drill holes.
Note : At least two of the mounting bracket’s attachment points must be secured to a support structure. Remaining attachment points must be secured using appropriate hardware for the installation. Choose fasteners that are consistent with all local building codes and requirements. -
Drill four holes (sized for appropriate fasteners) into the ceiling.

Choose the wiring hole that will align with the rear of the loudspeaker; feed the loudspeaker wire through the hole. Ensure the cable has enough slack for the installation.

Secure the wire with a cable tie and screw the cable tie into the ceiling mount using the included M4 screw.

Attach the ceiling mount to the ceiling with four M6 or #10 screws (not included).

Insert the wire through a hole on the cover, snap the cover onto the ceiling mount, and adjust the wire direction as necessary.
Note : There are four knockouts along the base of the cover (A) that can be used when wiring the loudspeaker along the ceiling. -
Reattach the mounting arm to the ceiling mount and secure tightly with the cap.
Note : You can adjust the horizontal angle at any time by loosening the cap one quarter turn, adjusting the angle, and tightening the cap. Do not over-loosen. See the installation guide for the applicable loudspeaker for connector wiring and input cover installation. -
Attach the adapter plate to the loudspeaker.
Note: The DesignMax DM2S/3SE, and FreeSpace FS2SE use the included M6 screws and M6 washers. The DesignMax DM5SE/6SE and FreeSpace FS4SE use the included M8 screws only. -
Attach the loudspeaker arm to the mounting arm by tightening the attached screw.

Adjust the angle of the loudspeaker and secure tightly with the screw on the loudspeaker arm.
