Read this Manual carefully before use

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  2.  To protect against electrical shock do not immerse power cords, plugs, or this appliance in water or other liquids.
  3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  4. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning the appliance. Allow cooling before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  5. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged power cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner, return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
  6. Do not use accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer as this may cause injuries.
  7. Do not use outdoors.
  8. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
  9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  10. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  11. Turn to “Min”, when plugging or removing the plug from the wall outlet.
  12. Do not use appliances other than intended household use only.
  13. Extreme caution must be used when moving fryers containing hot oil.
  14. Dry foods as thoroughly as possible before lowering them into the hot oil, water, and frost on foods will result in high oil splattering during the cooking cycle.
  15. Do not place the unit on a soft surface, or table covering such as a tablecloth, make sure you use the unit on an even and hard surface.
  16. Do not place the unit in a wet area for use.
  17. Do not attempt to remove fried foods from the basket with your hands. Foods are very hot and should only be removed with the proper utensils.
  18. Do not stand right over the fryer during the frying cycle. There is a risk that you can be burned by splattering oil.
  19. Do not attempt to fry with butter, margarine, or olive oil.
  20. Always unplug your deep fryer when not in use.
  21. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  22. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  23. Food should not be cooked too long. Check the temperature of food in case of heating is too high.
  24. The appliance cannot be put into water over the deepest level.
  25. Do not close the cover when the appliance is working in case of scalding when opening the cover. Free to close the cover while the appliance is not working.
  26. This appliance is for household use only.
  27. If the power cord is damaged, contact the supplier/manufacturer.

Before first use

  1. Read all the sections of this booklet carefully.
  2. Remove the fryer from the packaging.
  3. Open the lid.
  4. Remove all accessories and printed documents from the basket.
  5. Take out the basket.
  6. Take out the control box (with the heater).
  7. Clean the lid, the breather freely covers, the oil filter mesh, the basket, the bowl, the main body with hot water, a little dishwashing liquid, and a sponge or put this part into the dishwashing to clean.
  8. Clean the heater with hot water. Never immerse the control box in water. Dry thoroughly.

Operation

  1. Make sure the unit is completely off (the indicator light is off).
  2. Remove the lid from the fryer.
  3. Remove the frying basket and fill the container with oil. The filling level must be between the minimum and maximum levels. Replace the cover.
  4. Connect the plug to a socket 220/240 V, 50 Hz. Turn the switch on, the red indicator light will illuminate.
  5.  Select the desired temperature by turning the temperature control. A rule of thumb is that precooked foods require a temperature higher than raw. The green indicator lamp lights up.
  6. When the set temperature is reached, the green indicator lamp goes out. Remove the lid and put the frying basket with food and hot oil carefully. The green indicator lamp is on and off several times during cooking. It is normal and indicates that the thermostat is controlling the temperature.
  7. At the end of the cooking time (cooking time is specified on the packaging of food or recipe), care- fully open the lid (attention, can emit hot steam). Remove the basket.
  8. Lift the basket and remove food items.
  9. When finished using, turn off and unplug the fryer.

Note: This type of fryer may only be used with oil or liquid fat and is not suitable for use with solid fat.

Tips:

  • Use a maximum of 200 grams of French fries per liter of oil.
  • With deep-freeze products, use a maximum of 100 grams because they quickly cool off. Shake deep-freeze products above the sink to remove excess ice.
  • When using fries made from fresh potatoes: dry the fries after washing so that no water will go into the oil. Deep-fry the fries in 2 stages. The first stage (pre-frying): 5 to 10 minutes at 170 degrees C°. The second stage (final frying) is 2 to 4 minutes at 190 degrees C°. Drain well.
  • Before you use the deep fryer, it must be filled with the required amount of oil or fat.
  • Never use the deep fryer without oil, this could damage the unit.
  • Never move the deep fryer during use. The oil becomes very hot and you can get burned. Wait to move the deep fryer until the oil has cooled off.
  • This deep fryer is protected with a thermal safety device, which switches the machine off automatically if it overheats. Allow the unit to cool down completely before starting again.

Replace the oil:

  • Make sure that the deep fryer and the oil have totally cooled off before replacing the oil (remove the plug from the socket!).
  • Replace the oil regularly. This is necessary if the oil becomes dark or takes on a different odor. In any case, replace the oil once after every 10 times’ usage.
  • Replace the oil all at once; do not mix old and new oil. Discarded oil is a burden to the environment.
  • Do not throw in the normal rubbish bin but follow the guidelines of the municipal waste collector in your area.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  1. To clean the control box and heater, use a damp dishcloth that has been dipped in water and mild dish soap. Completely wipe down all parts of the control box. Rinse and wipe off all residual dish soap. Do not reassemble the deep fryer until all parts are thoroughly dry.

Storage

Between frying sessions, the sealed lid of your fryer allows you to store the oil inside the appliance. The fryer must be stored at room temperature.

Cord storage

Wrap the cord loosely and place it into a cord storage area for storing. Wrapping the cord tightly could re­sult in damage to your unit.

Storing appliance

  • Do not store appliance that still contains oil in the oil tank or that has not been cleaned and dried
  • For best results in storing your appliance, fold the fry basket handle back into the basket also, you will want to wrap the electric cord loosely and place it into the cord storage department in the control box before placing the control box on the stainless steel base and oil
