Explanation of warning symbols and notes
Warning
This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your attention
to specific hazards and risks.
Note
This symbol is used to indicate additional information or important notes.

Safety instructions
- The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry environments only.
- If the product is to be operated outdoors, it may be operated only in protected outdoor areas.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
- Do not continue to operate the product if it is visibly damaged.
- As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
- Use the product only for the intended purpose.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
- Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
- Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
- Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children due to the risk of suffocation.
- Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits specified in the technical data.
- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged
- Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
Warning – Batteries
- When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and – markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
- Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
- Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polarity contacts.
- Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers.
- Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Do not charge batteries.
- Do not burn batteries.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
- Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.
- Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
Product characteristics
This WiFi door / window contact is used to monitor (push message to a smartphone on triggering) and check the status of windows or doors (open / closed). The following voice command can be used:
- Status check “Alexa/OK Google, is my window / door open / closed?”
Getting started
Inserting / changing the batteries
- Press the button on the top of the larger sensor and remove the cover on the back.
- Remove the spent batteries and dispose of them if required. Insert two new batteries of type AAA. Take care to ensure the correct polarity as shown in the diagram in the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment by attaching the cover back onto the rear of the larger sensor.
Installation
Warning

Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.

Do not mount the product above locations where persons might sit or stand.

We recommend attaching the sensor to the window or door frame and securing the device directly to the window / door.

Ensure that the markings (triangles) of the device and sensor are in a straight line and when the door / window is closed are no more than 10 mm apart.

Press the button on the top of the larger sensor and remove the cover on the back.

Remove the spent batteries and dispose of them if required. Insert two new batteries of type AAA. Take care to ensure the correct polarity as shown in the diagram in the battery compartment.

Close the battery compartment by attaching the cover back onto the rear of the larger sensor.

You can either screw the device and sensor in place or use adhesive pads

If a door leaf or window juts out, the sensor can also be attached to the side and the device secured flat to the frame.
Warning – installation with adhesive
- All parts are suitable only for use indoors. Do not install outdoors.
- Be aware that the intended mounting surface must be free from dust and grease. Use a suitable cleaner from a specialist retailer for this.
- Be aware that the adhesive pads are intended to be permanent. Carefully pull the adhesive pad off the mounting surface to remove it.
- Various environmental influences, such as moisture in the air, sunlight, cold, etc., can impair the long-term stickiness of the adhesive pads.
- Possible residue on the mounting surface after removal of the adhesive pads cannot be ruled out!
Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home (Solution)
Now insert the two AAA batteries supplied, observing the correct polarity. When you activate the burglar alarm, the LED should briefly light up blue. Otherwise, please replace the batteries.

Now press the pairing button for 5 seconds. The LED starts to flash red quickly. If it flashes slowly, press the button again for 5 seconds.

Open the app and sign in.

Press the + in the top right-hand corner to add a new device.

Choose Sensors from the list.

Next enter your WiFi password and confirm with NEXT.

Now confirm that the sensor is flashing quickly by ticking “Next step” and clicking on “Next”.

Your sensor is now connected.

Once the connection is successful, the LED stops flashing quickly and the app confirms that your sensor is connected. You can now assign it a different name if you wish.

Click Finish to end the process.

You can now attach the sensor and configureit.

Care and maintenance
Note
Disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged
periods of non-use.
- Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning products.
- Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
