Introduction
The converter can be used universally and has a cart input and a digital HDMI output. It is used to convert an analogue image and audio transmission into a digital signal. It, therefore, allows you to connect playback devices that only have aScart interface, such as video recorders, set-top boxes, DVD players or game consoles, for example, to monitor or flat-screen TV with an HDMI input.
Getting started and operation
Note
- Always refer to the operating instructions for all the devices you are connecting.
- Lay all cables so that they do not pose a tripping hazard.
- Do not bend or crush the cable.
Before installation, ensurethat all devices to be connected are switched off.
- Connect the Scart input (1) of the converter to your playback device, for example, DVD player or set-top box, using a Scart cable (not included in delivery package).
- Connect the HDMI output (2) of the converter to the corresponding input on aTVormonitor using a HDMI cable (not included in the delivery package).
- Connect the supplied USB cable to the ‘DC/5V’ connection (3).
- Connect the USB cable to an unused USB input on your PC or TV. The power LED (4) lights up red.
- Alternatively, the converter can be operated using a suitable USB power supply unit (not included in the delivery package). Please refer to the operating instructions for the USB power supply unit used.
Note
The output signal can be set to 1080p or 720p using the switch (5).
Care and Maintenance
Note
Disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning it or if it is not
going to be used for a long period of time.
- Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
- Make surethat water does not get into the product.
