INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

KIT COMPONENTS

  • A) Radio trim panel
  • B) Radio brackets
  • C) Pocket
  • D) (4) #8 x 3/8” Phillips screws

WIRING & ANTENNA CONNECTIONS (sold separately)
Wiring Harness: 70-7304 • AX-HYKIA1-SWC & AX-HYKIA-SPDIF (for amplified models) Antenna Adapter: Not required

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • Panel removal tool
  • Phillips screwdriver

DASH DISASSEMBLY

  1. Unclip and remove the panel (and speaker, if equipped,) from above the radio panel. (Figure A)

  2. Unclip and remove the radio/climate control trim panel. (Figure B)

  3. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the climate control panel. Slide the panel out and set it to the side. (Figure C)

  4. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio. Slide the radio out, then unplug and remove the radio. (Figure C)

  5. Remove (4) screws securing the hazard switch assembly from the radio, then secure the assembly to the 99-7349B radio trim panel using the same factory
    screws. (Figure D)

Continue to Kit Assembly

KIT ASSEMBLY

  1. Secure the radio brackets to the pocket using the (4) #8 x 3/8” Phillips screws provided. (Figure A)

  2. Remove the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio.

  3. Slide the radio into the bracket/pocket assembly, then secure it using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure B)

  4. Clip the radio trim panel over the radio/ pocket/bracket assembly. (Figure B)

  5. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapters from Metra or AXXESS. Test the
    radio for proper operation.

  6. Secure the radio assembly to the dash using the factory screws.

  7. Reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly.
