FLOTTEBO sofa-bed is designed to be just as flexible as it is comfortable. The
removable back cushions make the sofa just as good for relaxing as for
sleeping on. The large storage space under the seat has plenty of room for all
the things you want to hide away, yet still have close at hand. So sit back
and watch a movie or chat with your best friend. Send a mail or take a nap.

Always comfortable
FLOTTEBO sofa-bed is comfortable regardless if you want to sit, lean back or
lie down. You always get support in the right places from the individually
encapsulated pocket springs that move independently and follow your body. The
loose back cushions also make it easy to adjust the seat depth and the back
support. All you need to do to transform the sofa into a spacious bed is to
remove the cushions. Quick, easy – and comfortable!
How to convert
It is very easy to convert FLOTTEBO sofa-bed into a spacious and comfortable bed. Just hold the handles and lift the seat upwards. A large storage space with plenty of room for all bedlinen will open up under the seat. Then simply remove the back cushions, make the bed, and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Good to know
Our fabrics have been tested
At IKEA we test the fabric covers on our sofas and armchairs so you can be
sure they’re durable. The fabric’s ability to resist abrasion is tested by
using a machine to rub it against another fabric while applying firm pressure.
A fabric that can take 15,000 cycles is suitable for furniture that must
withstand everyday life at home and if it can take more than 30,000 cycles,
it is very resistant to abrasion. All fabrics are sensitive to sunlight, which
is why we also check that our fabrics resist fading effectively.
Gunnared medium grey: 100% polyester. Vissle dark grey: 100% polyester. Vissle
purple: 100% polyester.
Durable in different ways
Tough tests are an important way to check the durability of our fabric covers,
but they don’t tell the whole story. Durability also depends on materials,
construction and manner of use. Heavy, tightly woven fabrics with a flat
surface are most resistant to abrasion. Fabrics with a mixture of natural and
synthetic fibres can withstand abrasion better than fabrics with only natural
fibers. Yarn-dyed fabrics are more durable than fabrics with printed patterns.
And a dirty cover wears out faster than a clean one. The fabric is also
affected by how you use your sofa of course.
