Overview
uFi is a portable wireless router, providing a simple way to share 4G with any
Wi-Fi embedded device.

Use the device’s 2 buttons as follows:
Button

Description

Power key| Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the device on/off.
Short press to put the LED in either active or sleep mode.
Press and hold for 10 seconds to reboot the device
WPS| Press and hold the WPS button for 3 seconds until the Wi-Fi LED blinks
Short press to put the device into either active or sleep mode.
Reset| Press both “Power” and “WPS” keys at the same time for 3 seconds to
reset your device to factory mode.
1.4 LED display

Network indicator|
LED is blue when connected to the Internet or flashes when the Internet is disconnected. LED is red when there’s no network, service, or SIM card.
Wi-Fi indicator| LED is blue when Wi-Fi is active.
SMS indicator| LED is blue when you have a new message or flashes when your
inbox is full.
Battery indicator|
LED is red when the battery is low. A blue, slowly flashing LED indicates that the device is working. A blue, quickly flashing LED indicates that the device is charging. A blue, non-flashing LED indicates that the device is fully charged.
Power saving mode:
- If no key is pressed on the device for 30 seconds, then all the LED lights will automatically turn off except the battery LED light. An LED light will come on when the USB cable is used to charge the device or any key is pressed on the device.
- If there is no Wi-Fi access used on the device for 10 mins, Internet network dialling will disconnect automatically and will connect automatically once any key is pressed on the device or Wi-Fi is accessed from the device.
- If there is no Wi-Fi access to the device for 30 minutes, then all LED lights will be automatically turned off along with the Wi-Fi AP function. Press any key to restore the Wi-Fi AP function.
1.5 Installing the device
Step 2: Install SIM card in the card slot.
WARNING! Do not insert the micro SIM card into the slot before opening
the slot cover. Follow the mark on the slot to open and lock.

1.5 Connecting in Wi-Fi mode
The Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi key are located on the sticker on the rear of
the back cover. They also can be found on the label under the battery.
Step 1: Use the Wi-Fi manager on your Wi-Fi embedded device to select the
Wi-Fi name (SSID).
- From a Windows PC: Right-click Wireless network connection on the taskbar, and select: View Available Networks.
- From a Mac computer: Select System Preferences -> Network -> Airport. Click “Advanced” to choose an SSID from the list of available networks.
- From an iOS device: Settings -> Wi-Fi. Choose an SSID from the available networks.
- From an Android device: Settings -> Wireless controls -> Wi-Fi settings. Choose an SSID from the available networks.
Step 2: Enter the Wi-Fi key when prompted for a security key.
Quick Setup
Launch the Internet browser and enter the address written on the label under
the battery. Enter the password to log into the uFi configuration page.
Default login password can be found on the label under the battery.
Log in and click “Settings” to configure the basic settings.
Wi-Fi Settings:
- SSID: Set the Wi-Fi name of this device.
- Security: Configure the security mode for the Wi-Fi connection.
Charging the device
You have two ways to charge your device.
Charging with an adapter
Connect a USB cable between the device and the head of the adapter and plug
it into a power socket to start charging. When the device is powered off, it
takes a maximum of 3 hours before being fully charged.
Charging via USB
You can also charge the device by connecting it to a PC with a USB cable.
When the device is powered off, it will take a maximum of 4 hours to finish
charging.
Note: In order to protect the battery, when the low-power LED indicator
flashes, charge the device as soon as possible.
