CONNECTING THE POWER SUPPLY
The robot window cleaner requires connection to the power supply at all times of operation. Referring to the diagram below/following page,

  1. Insert the ‘figure of 8’ jack into the power supply.
  2. Insert the DC output jack from the power supply into the socket of the extension cable.
  3. The right-angled jack of the extension socket is then inserted into the power supply socket on the robot (see previous page) and the nut is tightened.
  4. Attach the safety harness to a suitable position above the window.
  5. Insert the mains plug into a mains socket and switch on.

Once the power is switched on, check the fan is creating suction and that the status indicator lights are OK. Place the robot on the window, keep it away from the window frame initially. Check that the suction can hold the device, then let go.
To remove the device, use one hand to gently pull the safety harness, and use your other hand to remove the robot.

BACKUP BATTERY
Should the power supply fail, an internal battery will provide power for up to 30 minutes. The device will continue to operate but a warning sound will be emitted along with a flashing red light. At this point the user should recover the machine from the window to prevent a loss of power and a fall.

OPERATION CLEANING WINDOWS

For best results work in dry and sunny weather.

STEP1:DRY WIPE
For the first run it is advised to operate the unit dry, without water, to remove dust from the window. This prevents a build up of mud on the window and poor results.

STEP2:DAMP CLEAN
Remove the dirty cleaning cloths and replace with clean ones.
Spray the clean cloths with 1 to 2 spays of cleaning agent so that the cloth is damp but not wet. A wet cleaning cloth will give poor results.

REMOTE CONTROL

The robot’s movements are controlled either manually or can be set to follow predetermined patters.
The robot window cleaner can receive signals from the front and the back side of the machine so it can be controlled from either side of the glass.
