WARNING

  • Do not use this sound system near water.
  • Clean only with a dry cloth.
  • Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other sound system (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the sound system.
  • Only use attachments/accessories provided by the manufacturer.
  • Unplug this sound system during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the sound system has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug being damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the sound system, sound system has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  • The sound system should not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
  • Do not place any sources of danger on the sound system (e.g. liquid filled objects, lighted candles).
  • Make sure there is enough free space around the product for ventilation.
  • Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • The remote control must be equipped with the appropriate batteries in order to function properly. Only recommended batteries should be used. Polarity must be aligned in such a way as to avoid any short or damage to the remote control.
    1. Don’t mix used and new batteries. Don’t mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) and rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
    2. Don’t recharge or try to open the batteries. Don’t throw the batteries in fire. Replace all batteries at the same time with new, identical batteries. Remove the batteries when the device will be unused for long periods of time.
  • Always unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not play music at excessive volume levels as damage to hearing and or the equipment may occur.
  • Do not use this unit in wet or damp conditions.
  • Always disconnect the unit from the mains power supply before cleaning. Clean the appliance with a soft, damp, lint free cloth. Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaners.

REMOTE CONTROL

GETTING STARTED

Plug in both Subwoofer and Soundbar to power.

CAUTION:

  • RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE!
    Make sure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back label.

  • RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
    When you unplug the AC power cord always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord.

    • Before connecting the AC power cord, ensure you have completed all other connections. Place the unit in the desired position and unravel the AC power cord.
CONNECTING SUBWOOFER WITH SOUNDBAR
  1. Switch On the Subwoofer via the switch on back of the unit.
  2. The Red LED light on the back of Subwoofer will indicate that the power is On.
  3. The Red LED light will turn on the Soundbar after it is connected with Power.
  4. Press the Power button on the remote to turn off Standby mode, the LED indicator on the Soundbar will also turn Off.
  5. Press the Mode button on the Soundbar to select the desired input.
  6. Input can also be selected via the remote control.
  7. The LED light will show the selected mode on the Soundbar.

INPUT MODE DESCRIPTIONS

HDMI (ARC): (Requires HDMI Cable, Not Provided)
Connect an HDMI (ARC) compatible device to the HDMI (ARC) port on the soundbar using an HDMI cable (not supplied). Select HDMI (ARC) mode either by pressing the HDMI (ARC) button on your remote control or repeatedly pressing the ¢1• button on the Soundbar control panel until ARC is displayed on the LED display.
Ensure HDMI ARC is selected as the lV’s audio output, then adjust the volume of the Soundbar using the Volume up and Volume down buttons on the remote control or Soundbar control panel.

AUX IN: (Requires 3.5mm Stereo Jack Cable, Provided)
Connect a compatible device using the 3.5mm – 3.5mm stereo jack cable. Select AUX mode either by pressing the AUX button on your remote control or repeatedly pressing the ¢1• button on the soundbar control panel until AUX is displayed on the LED display. Ensure the connected device is producing an audio signal, then adjust the volume of the Soundbar using the Volume up and Volume down buttons on the remote control or Soundbar control panel.

OPTICAL IN: (Requires Optical Cable, Not Provided)
Connect a compatible device to the OPTICAL input on the Soundbar using a digital optical cable (not supplied). Select OPT mode either by pressing the OPT button on your remote control or repeatedly pressing the ¢<· button on the Soundbar control panel until OPT is displayed on the LED display. Ensure Optical SPDIF is selected as the lV’s audio output, then adjust the volume of the Soundbar using the Volume up and Volume down buttons on the remote control or Soundbar control panel.

COAXIAL IN: (Requires Coaxial Cable, Not Provided)
Connect a compatible device to the COAXIAL port on the Soundbar using a digital coaxial cable (not supplied). Select COAX mode either by pressing the MODE button on your remote control or repeatedly pressing the ¢1• button on the soundbar control panel until COA is displayed on the LED display. Ensure Coaxial is selected as the TV’s audio output, then adjust the volume of the Soundbar using the Volume up and Volume down buttons on the remote control or Soundbar control panel.

BLUETOOTH:
Press the BT button on the remote control or repeatedly press the ¢1• button on the Soundbar control panel until BT is shown on the LED display. The LED display will flash to indicate that the Soundbar is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
Ensure that the device you wish to connect is also in pairing mode and search for NX-1002 in its device list. When the two devices are paired, the LED display on the Soundbar will stop flashing and remain constant. {The Soundbar will now automatically pair with this device whenever it is within range and has Bluetooth turned on.) Once paired, the remote control can be used to play, pause and navigate between tracks on compatible iOS and Android devices.

USB MEDIA MODE:
The Soundbar is compatible with USB flash drives of up to 32GB in size and can play MP3 and WAV audio files directly. Simply insert a compatible drive into the USB port on the back of the Soundbar and the unit will automatically switch to USB mode and play the first compatible track. The media controls on the remote control can be used to play, pause and navigate between tracks on the flash drive, and the LED display will indicate the current track time.
USB repeat mode {also accessed via the remote control) enables single track repeat (ONE), all track repeat {ALL). The media player also has a memory function that will recall and continue from the last-played point when a USB flash drive that has previously been used with the Soundbar is re-inserted.

EQUALIZER MODES:
The Soundbar has 3 equalizer presets, tailored to complement various styles of music. Press the EQ button on the remote control to choose between Music (EQ1 ), Movie (EQ2), News (EQ3).

WALL MOUNTING:
The Soundbar has two keyhole slots on the back to enable wall mounting, using the fixings provided or a compatible Soundbar bracket (not supplied).

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Directed Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (Directed Electronics) warrants that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase or for the period stated on the packaging. This warranty is only valid where you have used the product in accordance with any recommendations or instructions provided by Directed Electronics.
This warranty excludes defects resulting from alterations of the product, accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.

In order to claim the warranty, you must return the product to the retailer from which it was purchased or if that retailer is part of a National network, a store within that chain, along with satisfactory proof of purchase. The retailer will then return the goods to Directed Electronics. Directed Electronics will repair, replace or refurbish the product at its discretion. The retailer will contact you when the product is ready for collection. All costs involved in claiming this warranty, including the cost of the retailer sending the product to Directed Electronics, will be borne by you.
