Please read this instruction manual thoroughly before operating and retain for
future use.
Safety Precautions
Warning
- Use of this thermometer is not intended as a substitute for consultation with your physician. It is dangerous for a user to perform a self-evaluation and self-treatment based on the measured result. Be sure to follow doctor’s instructions.
- Keep the thermometer out of reach of children. In case batteries or other components are swallowed, please consult your doctor immediately.
- Don’t throw the battery into fire.
Notice
- The device is a precision instrument; don’t drop, trample or impose any vibration or impact on the thermometer.
- Do not touch the lens of the probe with your fingers and do not disassemble the device by yourself.
- Before measuring temperature, make sure to remove hair and ensure the measuring surface is clean and dry.
- Do not use within 30 minutes of exercise, eating, or bathing. Allow 30 minutes to pass before taking temperature.
- To ensure accuracy, if the ambient temperature varies, keep the device in a stable temperature setting for 30 minutes before use.
- For accuracy, do not take more than 3 consecutive temperature readings. Allow at least 1-minute before subsequent temperature taking.
- Avoid measuring skin areas with scarred tissue or skin disorders of any kind.
- Do not measure a person’s forehead if they have suffered trauma on the forehead.
- Do not measure if the patient is treated with certain drug therapies.
- Do not measure when the measuring sites (forehead) are exposed to direct sunlight, fireplace heat, cold compress therapies, or air conditioner flow. Please wait for 30 minutes to measure.
- Do not immerse the device in water or expose it to direct sunlight.
- Make sure the measuring distance is between 1-6cm.
- Do not use a mobile device or cordless phone near the thermometer when measuring.

Installing/Replacing Battery
- Remove the battery cover by sliding it toward the bottom of the thermometer.
- Insert or replace 2 x 1.5 AAA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring to match the indicating polarity symbols. (always use new batteries).
- Place the battery cover on the thermometer back in place so it snaps closed.

Instructions for Use
6.1 Power on – insert batteries into the battery compartment. Press the
power/scan button to turn it on. The product will start self-inspection.
6.2 Measurement unit selection – When the product is powered off, press and
hold the scan button for 8 seconds. The measurement system (°C or °F)
automatically appears on the display.
To toggle between °C or °F, continue holding the scan button for 2 seconds. Release the button when your desired unit is showing.
6.3 Measure site select – Put the probe cover on for forehead mode or remove it for ear mode. Tip: A clean, dry forehead is important. Remove makeup, dry sweat, and move hair to ensure an accurate measurement. Do not use outdoors.
6.4 Forehead temperature measure – Ensure the probe cover is on. Hold the
device steadily from 1-6cm / 0.4” – 2.4” from the forehead.
Press the scan button lightly. When you hear the “beep”, the measurement has
registered and you can check the result.
6.5 Ear temperature measure – Ensure the probe cover is off. Gently insert the probe into the ear. Press the scan button lightly. When you hear the “beep”, the measurement has registered and you can check the result.
Tip: For accuracy, ensure you take the temperature in the same ear each time. Other factors may influence measurements, such as:
- Obstructions or ear wax build-up
- Having just had ears covered (with hats, earmuffs, etc…)
- Exposure to hot or cold outdoor or indoor temperatures
- Having recently gone swimming or taken a bath
- For accuracy, ensure the user has been in ambient temperate for at least 30 minutes prior to taking temperature.
Temperature Test Information
- If the temperature range is 32.0℃ (89.6 ℉) ≤ T ≤ 37.4℃ (99.3 ℉), you will hear 1 “beep” to signal a normal temperature.
- If the temperature range is 37.5℃ (99.5 ℉) ≤ T ≤ 38.5℃ (101.3 ℉), you will hear 2 “beeps” to signal a high temperature.
- If the temperature range is 38.6℃ (101.5 ℉) ≤ T ≤ 42.9℃ (109.2 ℉), you will hear 4 “beeps” to signal a very high temperature.
Care & Cleaning
- Sensor Lens – Keep the lens sensor clean to ensure accuracy. To clean, very gently wipe the surface with a cotton swab or soft cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol (75%) and dry.
- Unit Body & Display – Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the thermometer display and unit body. If very dirty, use a soft cloth moistened with alcohol and dry.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners. Do not use other methods to disinfect. Do not immerse in water.
Maintenance
- We do not authorize any institution or individual to maintain or repair the product.
- Do not attempt any repairs to the device on your own.}
- Any such non-authorized repair efforts by unauthorized agencies will nullify and terminate any claim made under warranty.
