Before you begin, you will need
- One Temp Stick Sensor
- Two AA batteries (included)
- A smartphone, tablet or pc with Wi-Fi capability
- Your wireless (Wi-Fi) network name and password for sensor setup
Important: The setup process must be completed on the WiFi network in which it will be used.
3-Step Quick Start

Install the batteries into your Temp Stick sensor.
The LED light on your Temp Stick will start blinking indicating it is in Setup Mode. -
Go to the WiFi settings of your smartphone, tablet or computer and connect to the WiFi network named Sensor Setup.
Note: The Sensor Setup network name will also include your sensor ID number. For example: “Sensor Setup 1234567”
Note: This network provides access to the Temp Stick setup page only. If you see an “Unsecured Network” or “No Internet Connection” message, please ignore it and connect anyway. -
Open your web browser and in the URL address, bar enter 10.10.1.1 and press Enter or Go.
Your browser will now load the Temp Stick setup page. Follow the on-screen instructions to select a WiFi network and complete the setup. When setup is complete the blue light will turn off.

TIPS FOR FIRST TIME USE
CALIBRATION & FIRST TIME USE:
Important: The sensor will calibrate during the first hour of use. Initial
readings will be off by +/- 10° F until calibration is complete (1 hour). The
blue light will come on for a couple of seconds each time the sensor takes a
reading (once an hour by default).
FREEZER USAGE:
The sensor temperature range is between -40° to 125° F. Lithium batteries
perform best in extremely cold or hot conditions where alkaline batteries
typically cease to function. 2x AA (1.5V) Lithium batteries are recommended
for temperatures down to -40°.
LOGGING IN TO YOUR SENSOR
Before you can log into your sensor you must complete the initial sensor setup
and account activation. Please refer to the 3-Step Quick Start Guide.

CHANGING YOUR WIFI NETWORK / RESET
To reset your sensor into setup mode follow these steps:
- Pull out only one battery and wait 10 seconds.
- Insert that battery back into the sensor 6 times. On the 6th time leave the battery in the sensor.
- The light should flash a couple times and return to a blinking state indicating you are back in setup mode. You can now follow the 3-step quick start guide again to assign the sensor to new WiFi network.
BATTERY OPTIONS
Alkaline Batteries (Included)
Your Temp Stick sensor comes with two 1.5V AA alkaline batteries.
The average battery life expectancy with default settings is up to 1 year.
Lithium Batteries:
Recommended for Extreme heat and freezer applications:
Lithium batteries perform even in the most extreme temperatures, making
lithium batteries perfect for extremely cold or hot conditions where alkaline
batteries typically cease to function. Use Lithium batteries (2 AA x 1.5v) at
temperatures down to -40°
MOUNTING WITH VELCRO STRIP
Adhere the sticky side of the Velcro strip to the flat surface on the backside
of your Temp Stick sensor. Adhere the other piece of Velcro to the location
where you want your sensor installed.

This product is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship
for one year from date of activation.
Ideal Sciences will, at its election and as the purchaser’s or end user’s sole
and exclusive remedy for any breach of the limited warranty set forth above,
repair or replace this product if a defect in material or workmanship is
identified and communicated to Ideal Sciences within the one-year period
described above. Ideal Sciences is not responsible for removal or re-
installation costs. This warranty is not valid in cases where damage to this
product is the result or arises out of misuse, abuse, incorrect repair or
improper wiring or installation.
