TEMP STICK Thermocouple Pipe Clamp
Before you begin, you will need
- Your wireless (WiFi) network name and password
- A smartphone, tablet or PC with WiFi capability
5-Step Easy Setup
- Download the free Temp Stick app to your smartphone or tablet.
You can find them by scanning the QR codes below or by searching for “Temp Stick” in the app store.|

Once downloaded, create a new account or log in to an existing Temp Stick account.

Install the 2x AA Energizer Lithium batteries (included) in to your Temp Stick.

Plug in the Pipe Clamp
Make sure to properly align the +/- symbols on the probe connector and Temp Stick.

Power on the device by sliding the power switch at the top of the Temp Stick to the right.
The LED light on the front of your Temp Stick will start blinking red to indicate you are in Setup Mode.
In the app, navigate to the “Sensors” tab and click “Add New Temp Stick”.
Follow the in-app instructions to finish setting up your Temp Stick and add it
to your account.
Note: The Temp Stick works only on a 2.4Ghz Wifi network for maximum
range & reliability

To receive alerts during a power outage you must have:
Your Temp Stick plugged in to outlet
Your router & internet equipment on a backup power supply (UPS)
Switches to batteries during an outage.
Create outage alerts in the app for text, email and push notifications.
Runs up to 1 year on 2 x AA batteries.
NOTE: Does not recharge or support rechargeable batteries.
TIPS FOR FIRST TIME USE
FIRST TIME USE & CALIBRATION:
Important: Initial readings may be off by +/- 10° until calibration is complete (about 1 hour). The sensor will calibrate during the first hour of use. The blue light will come on for a couple seconds each time the sensor takes a reading (once an hour by default).
SUGGESTED MOUNTING
When using the supplied flexible wall mount, we suggest mounting the temp stick on it’s side for best cable management.
TO CHANGE WIFI NETWORKS
- Remove the battery cover.
- While the device is powered on, hold down the reset button until the red light on the front of the Temp Stick turns on, then release (about 5-6 secs). Once you have a steady blinking red light you will be in setup mode.
- In your Temp Stick app, navigate to the “Sensors” section. Select the sensor who’s wifi network you want to update. Click on the “Update WiFi” button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to change your primary WiFi network or add a 2nd wifi network as a backup.
PERFORMING A FACTORY RESET
- Turn off Temp Stick (slide power switch left).
- Hold down reset button, power on device, continue holding the reset button until the LED on the front of the Temp Stick changes from red to blue (about 10 secs).
- Once you have a steady blinking red light the device has been reset to factory setting

This product is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for three years from date of purchase.
Ideal Sciences will, at its election and as the purchaser’s or end user’s sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of the limited warranty set forth above, repair or replace this product if a defect in material or workmanship is identified and communicated to Ideal Sciences within the three-year period described above. Ideal Sciences is not responsible for removal or re- installation costs. This warranty is not valid in cases where damage to this product is the result or arises out of misuse, abuse, incorrect repair or improper wiring or installation.
