-
Prolonged use of tap water often results in a build-up of scale inside the steam chamber. The best way to reduce scale is to use filter water, mineral water or distilled water, it is also advisable to descale the appliance at least twice per year.
-
If it is not possible to use purified water, then scale can be reduced by doing the following steps at least once per month:
A. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the main supply and completely cold.
B. Fill the water tank with a vinegar and water mixture, 1:2 proportion.
C. Plug in the appliance and allow it to heat up, turn on the steam switch and continuously spray steam for 5 minutes, then turn off the steam switch.
D. Empty any remaining mixture out of the water tank. Use fresh water to flush out any vinegar remaining in the tank until there is no smell of vinegar, then fill with clean water to reuse after 1 hour. -
Remove and empty the water tank, adjust the extendable rods to accommodate storage. (Fig 17)
