How to Set up & Play the Slinger Bag
It is quite easy to use the Slinger Bag launcher once you know how to use it, and can be set it up in just one minute. Just follow these steps:
- Open the ball pocket and fill it up with no more than 144 Dunlop tennis balls. To ensure a smooth procedure, we recommend filing the pocket up with 72-100 Dunlop balls.
- Unzip the bottom compartment to reveal the control panel of the launcher.
- Switch on the POWER button and adjust the SPEED and FEED rate to your desired preference.
- Unzip the bottom pocket on the right side of the Slinger Bag to adjust and lock the angle that you wish the Dunlop balls to be launched at.
- Don’t forget to take out the remote control of the machine to turn the Launcher ON and OFF from where you wish to hit the Dunlop balls.
You can use your Slinger Bag with or without the oscillator. If you wish to
add the oscillator, position the Bag on the plastic plate. Ensure that the
wheels fit comfortably in the wheel slots, and use the magnetic oscillator-
wire to plug into the control panel. You will hear a “beep” sounds after a few
seconds, and then notice the oscillator rotating from left to right.
The Slinger Bag is now ready to use, and you can control the oscillator using
the remote control.
Keep in Mind
Empty Battery. To charge your Slinger Bag, simply unscrew the battery,
carefully disconnect it from the cable and charge it using the charger (you
can keep your Slinger Bag stowed away).
Adjustments Using the elevation bar and the control panel, you can adjust the
speed, angle and frequency of Dunlop balls launched to match your playing
level.
Remote Control: For safety reasons, the Slinger Bag can only be switched on
and off by a two-step procedure. To start, first press the ON switch on the
Slinger Bag, and then once you’re in position, on the remote control.
Topspin: The amount of topspin produced can be controlled by changing the ball
speed and launch angle settings to find a setting that perfectly suits your
needs. The Slinger Bag is also easy to move around the court. We recommend
testing different variations to find the best mix of placement, speed, angle
and ball frequency for your level of play.
Court placement: Due to the portable battery, the wireless launcher can be
placed anywhere on the court. For ideal court placement examples, have a look
at the court positioning section in the User Manual, or visit slingerbag.com
for some example-videos.
Dunlop Balls: Slinger Bag and Dunlop have come together to develop the Fort TR
Plus and the Fort Xtra Life tennis balls, which are optimal for the Slinger
Bag.
