Important Safety Cautions

1. Please operate the appliance under the rated voltage and frequency indicated on the rating label or instruction manual.
2. The pump should be properly grounded. A 10mA or 30mA residual current device must be fitted to the mains supply.
3. If abnormal smell or noise is found to the pump, unplug it immediately and check the cause. Contact your retailer/distributor if needed.
4. Make sure your hand and the plug is dry when plug in or unplug the pump. It is forbidden to plug or unplug the pump with a wet hand as this might cause electric shock.
5. Don’t pull the power cord abruptly. To unplug. grasp the plug and pull it out from the receptacle.
6. Protect properly the pump. If severe collision happens to the pump, check if there is any damage. If there is any breakage, stop using the pump and destroy it.
7. The pump should work in the environment with temperature between 32 to 100F (0-38°C). Make sure the pump works under enough ventilation.
8. The pump should be placed at least 12inch higher than the water level to avoid water from flowing back to the pump. Properly fix the pump to avoid movement and make sure the surroundings is dry.
9. If the pump is used outdoor. proper shelter should be provided to prevent the pump from rain and sunshine. Always keep the pump properly ventilated.

Installation

1. Take out the pump and the accessories from the package. Make sure there is no parts missed.

2. Connect the pump with the supplied manifold with the short rigid tubing. Then connect the outlets of the manifold to the air stones with the airline tubing.
   The airline tubing and the air stones should be purchased separately. Make sure the diameter of the air tubing is 3/16 inch.

3. The depth of the air stones should be properly adjusted so that the air output from each air stone is even and smooth.

4. Only plug in to the receptacles when the above processes are completed.

Maintenance

This pump is free from lubricants or special maintenance. However, lo keep the pump operates in the best condition, regular maintenance and cleaning is needed.

• Clean the filter foam. The frequency of cleaning depends on the working environment. It is recommended to clean the foam once a month.
  To clean, unscrew the filter cap and take out the filter foam.
  Tap it with a stick or blow it with a blower to remove the dust.

• If the pump will not be used for a certain long period of time, disconnect the tubings and leave it in a dry and well ventilated place. Run it for 20 minutes every 4-7 days to keep the pump in the good condition.

Troubleshooting

Air output gets decreased

• Check if the voltage is stable
• Check If there is any damage or block to the filter foam, tubing, or connectors.
• Check if the ventilation is not good enough to cause over-heating of the pump

The pump doesn’t work

• Check if the power supply is normal
• Check if the power cord is damaged
• Check if the piston is corroded by liquid or corrosive gas.

Seek for your local retailer/ distributor’s help if the above troubleshooting can’t resolve the problems.
