ESL Introduction

Electronic Shelf Label System (ESL) provides product information by replacing a series of tasks which is printing attaching price, and merchandise information in the paper to the electronic display.

InforTab-Ready Preparation

In order to set and monitor InforTab-Ready, a Personal computer with a network is required.

InforTab-Ready Composition

Compositions of InforTab-Ready are,

  • 1.54 Inch InforTab(R154) 1EA
  • 2.13 Inch InforTab(R213) 1EA
  • 2.90 Inch InforTab(R290) 1EA
  • 4.20 Inch InforTab(R420) 1EA
  • 7.50 Inch InforTab(R750) 1EA
  • Gateway 1EA, Antenna 4EA
  • 5V Power cable 1EA, LAN cable 1EA
  • Remote Control 1EA, UnlockTool 1EA

InforTab-Ready Preparation

Network, UI setting

PC Network setting
For connecting Gateway and User.
Gateway IP is set by 192.168.220.236 in advance.
Setting a PC network fixed IP is required. For instance,
192.168.220.45 can be set as PC network IP.
To change PC network IP, Control Panel > Network Internet > Network settings > Ethernet Properties > Internet Protocol version 4(TCP/Pv4) > Use following IP

Confirm

Connect InforTap UI

  1. Plugin Gateway with power cable, and connect to PC by LAN cable. If all of these are connected properly, Red, Green and Blue lights will go on.
  2. Run internet browser in PC and write Gateway fixed IP (192.168.220.236) on the address bar.
  3. If connected properly, the InforTab UI screen will appear.
  4. Change Password in Menu ‘Account Setting’. The initial ID is ‘admin’ and the password is ‘1234’.
InforTab Assign

InforTab and specific products work together showing the product information. This system is operated by the ‘Assign’ process.
Assign confirmatory
InforTab-Ready’s 4 InforTabs are already assigned. Assigned InforTap in Gateway can be verified by ‘Status > Tag’ in UI.

InforTap Mac Address check

InforTab Mac address is displayed as a barcode when you press ‘>’ or ‘<’ buttons of the remote controller in front of the tag.
Delete 2 digits and leave 4 digits from the back in order to search Mac address in UI.
For further more explanation, if Mac address is ‘78E980FFFE004C4B’, can be searched by ‘004C’.
Assign: Connect InforTab and Product in Gateway.
Update: To change product information with assignedInforTab

InfoTab Update

Confirm InfoTab Layout
InforTap Layout can be found at the ‘Product Update’ menu.

The layout is the location of information and design which shows in tag display. It can be adjusted in ‘Layout Designer’.
We provide ‘Layout Designer Manual’ in addition which guides how to use ‘Layout Designer’.

Product information Update
  1. Choose proper Layout and put appropriate InforTab information.
  2. Check the square box on the right side and click ‘Update’ on the bottom side of the page.
  3. Press ‘Okay’ to confirm the procedure.

InfoTab Update

Confirm InfoTab Update Result

After the update, the page automatically moves to the ‘Task’ menu in UI and it is available to check update status in real-time.

InforTab update generally completes in 5 minutes, but the time it can be delayed by network circumstances.

To make InforTab update on purpose, Remote Controller.

After flicker light, the update process will be operated when pressing the ‘R’ button of the remote controller.

InforTab De-Assign, Re-Assign

InforTab Re-Assign

If need to update back, ‘Re-Assign’ work is required. Choose ‘Status > Tag’ Menu in UI and click ‘Assign’.

After clicking the ‘Assign’ button, write down the InforTab Mac address and product code. Then press the ‘Save’ to make the procedure complete.

Wireless Network Circumstance

InforTap system uses two channels of wireless 2.4GHz so that it can affect updating speed of InforTab according to the wireless network environment.
Wireless Channel
According to wireless circumstances, the InforTab system may not be operated properly by influence with other wireless

instruments. In this case, changing the channel is required. In order to change the channel, click the ‘Gateway Config’ menu in UI and press the ‘Setting’ Icon on the right side of the page.

Date channel, Event channel are composited with 11~26 channels..
Begin with 11 channels and go up until finding a proper one.
Press the ‘Save’ button to confirm the channel.
