VOLTAGE RANGE

The voltage range is 4 – 11 V and the recommended voltage range is 5 – 9 V.
Finding the perfect voltage is subjective and varies from artist to artist. Depending on the type
of work and cartridge configuration you are using, feel free to adjust anywhere between these values to find what’s best for you.
As a general guideline, we suggest working between 5 – 7 V for shading and 7 – 9 V for lining.

POWERPACK OVERVIEW

The Power Pack has a built-in display to show information and make it easier for the
user to control the device. It’s also the brain of this machine, allowing users to fully configure this pen to their preference by offering features such as Voltage Presets, Digital Give & Boost, Motion Control, Bluetooth connectivity and also compatibility with the Pilot Wireless Footswitch.

CHARGING THE POWER PACK

It is recommended to fully charge the Power Pack before its first use for 2 – 3 hours. The Power Pack can be charged either when turned off, stand-by or while the motor is running. You can use any USB – C cable and charger output (laptop, smartphone, wall outlet etc.) but a high quality USB – C cable and power source with at least 1.5A is recommended.

USING THE POWER PACK

  • Attach the Power Pack on the machine (follow the engraved arrow on the back of the machine to insert the Power Pack correctly and then rotate it to lock in place).
  • Long press the ON/OFF button to turn on the device.
  • Using the + and – buttons you can adjust the voltage, if you press & hold +/- then voltage will increase/decrease faster.
  • Using the UP and DOWN buttons you can go through the Voltage Presets, the [P1] icon displays the active preset. Presets will save both voltage and give/boost settings.
  • Long press the UP button to enable BOOST. Long press again to disable.
  • Long press the DOWN button to enable GIVE. Long press again to disable.
  • While the motor is running, press & hold the ON/OFF button to activate Motion Control.
  • While the motor is not running, press & hold the ON/OFF button to access the Settings menu.
  • The Power Pack shuts itself down after 1 hour of inactivity. If you want to manually
  • shut it down, press & hold the ON/OFF button until the screen turns off.
  • Prior to first use, it is recommended to fully charge the Power Pack for 2-3 hours.

MOTION CONTROL

This function has been implemented for users that tend to adjust their voltage more often and prefer speed over precision.
Hold the ON/OFF button while the motor is running and start rotating the machine 180°. Voltage increases as the machine points upwards and decreases as it points downwards. Releasing the ON/OFF button will lock in the new voltage values.STIGMA ROTARY Force Wireless Pen Machine fig2

PRESETS

The FORCE has 5 different on-board presets which you can use to save voltage and give/boost settings and swap between them quickly and efficiently.. On the top left corner you can see which preset is active. Using the UP and DOWN buttons you can cycle between them and set each one to your preference. Note: After each adjustment, the Presets icon will start blinking. The adjustments are saved only after it stops blinking.

DIGITAL GIVE & BOOST
The motor as a default runs in constant mode which means the stitching speed is not affected by the skin’s resistance.
Enabling give will allow the machine to respond to the skin’s resistance and become softer. By choosing between 3 levels of give you can adjust the sensitivity and softness.
GIVE-1 is subtle and allows for easier shading, GIVE on the 2nd and 3rd level will make the machine even softer and sensitive to the skin.
Choosing the best option is subjective. You should experiment and pick the one that works best for you.
Long press the DOWN button to enable GIVE (GVE #). Long press again to disable.
Enabling boost will allow the machine to run without dropping the stitching speed but it will actually respond to the skin’s resistance on difficult areas and become punchier and faster to ensure optimal results.
Long press the UP button to enable BOOST (BST). Long press again to disable.

PAIRING WITH THE PILOT FOOTSWITCH

WARNING MESSAGES

BATTERY LOW. : The battery is empty and the motor can’t start.
OVERPOWER PROTECT. : This warning pops up whenever the current running through the device exceeds a certain amount of power. It also cuts off the power to the motor to avoid causing damage or implications to both the machine and the power pack.
You can try the following to reset the warning:

  1. First, remove the cartridge. (if any)
  2. Then shut down and remove the power pack.
  3. Turn it back on and attach it to the machine.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button once to start the motor.
  5. If everything’s alright then stop, put the cartridge back inside and run it again.

If the motor cannot run even without a cartridge needle, then stop using it and contact our customer support to avoid further damage on the device.
Footswitch Low Battery Recharge. : The footswitch is low on battery.
Error! Use one Foot SW only. : If there are more than 1 Footswitch in close distance, try moving further away before pairing.

SLEEP MODE
The display goes to sleep after 45 sec. Press any button to activate it again.
If the Force stays idle for more than 10 minutes it will go to sleep and after 3 hours it will switch itself off automatically. If the battery is low, it will turn itself off after 20 seconds.
When the battery is fully charged the device again follows the above procedure.

RCA PLUG
An RCA Plug (RCA adapter) is included with every FORCE. This allows the user to work with their machine while the Power Pack is charging or if you simply want to use cables.
Note that when using the RCA Plug the machine gets lighter and smaller but loses all smart functions like Presets, Motion Control, Digital Give & Boost etc.

MAINTAINANCE
The Force is pre-lubricated when you receive it and does not require any lubrication.
Do not use any type of oil for lubrication.
Never spray down the machine and always try to prevent external fluids and/or other elements from entering the machine’s mechanism as they can disrupt the smooth operation of the machine.

The grip of the machine is autoclavable. The rest parts (body, power pack, rca plug) can be sanitized from the outside with cold sterilization products.
After autoclaving you can use a hint of synthetic grease (eg Super Lube) around the internal threading of the grip or on the O-rings of the machine’s body for optimal
and smooth operation.
Do not disassemble, modify, tamper with the machine or any of its parts.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Any cartridge brand and needle configuration is supported by this pen machine. Switch between the included interchangeable cartridge receivers to work with Stigma® Advanced Safety cartridges or standard cartridges of any brand.
Always prefer needles with a full membrane to avoid human fluids and/or ink from entering the machine.
Store the machine in a secure place away from children or persons who cannot/do not know how/are unable to operate this device.
Use of a high quality USB – C cable and power outlet for charging is recommended.

WARRANTY

The Force pen (body, aluminum grip) and the Power Pack have a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. Should these parts prove to be defective due to manufacturer’s fault, Stigma-Rotary® will repair/replace these parts free of charge.
This warranty is void if the device shows signs of having been disassembled, modified, tampered with, dropped, overexposed to moisture or any damage resulting in compromised functionality.
Several external influences which cannot be controlled by the manufacturer can adversely affect the motor or other machine parts. Damages or other faults to the machine that may appear over time may have diverse causes and cannot automatically be assumed as being of manufacturing origin.
The motor is excluded from the warranty because of the many factors that have an impact on its lifespan and which cannot be influenced (controlled) by us. The manufacturer defeats any claims. They refer, as we do, to extremely high standard of quality production and end-control which guarantees that only 100% functioning motors leave their production plant. The same is also true for those machines that leave our production facilities.
A warranty cannot be applied to defects which are caused by normal wear (wear of components caused by normal use such as springs, bearings, O-rings, screws etc.) or improper handling, transport or storage by the customer.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Like every other mechanical device, we strongly recommend that you service your tattoo machine at least once a year to ensure everything’s running as it should.

Service includes a proper diagnosis of the device and its motor and ensures that all parts are running perfectly. Any broken/malfunctioning parts are exchanged with new ones and a clean up as well as fresh lubrication is also conducted.
Keep in mind that servicing is subject to fees.
Never try to repair, modify the machine or any of its parts. Doing so will void the warranty. It’s always preferable to send it in to our repair center.
