Safety use rules
In order to prevent hazards or damage to the user and to people or objects in
the vicinity, this manual sets out the matters that you are expected to
observe. In order to use the product safely, please fully understand the
relevant contents
Caution
This symbol indicates that if the content is ignored, it is expected to cause

Volume adjustment method

Long press the + button, as shown above, the volume will increase.

Press and hold the – button, as shown above, the volume will decrease.
The volume can be adjusted from V-00 to V-27. V-00 is silenced. -
Press ① “Power button” to enter the mute mode, and then press again to release the mute mode.
How to reset
When the device crashes or other circumstances require, you can insert the card pin into this hole, and then restart the device after forcibly shutting down.
How to charge your Weather Radio
Charging method when using a USB (Type-C) charging cable
- Press and hold the power button to turn off the power. Please do not charge with the power on
- Open the port cover
- Insert one end of the attached USB (TYPE-C) charging cable into the input port of the device, and connect the other end to your USB adapter or computer USB port for charging. The charging light of the Screen will light up red. during charging. When charging is complete, the charging light will show green, and the battery level will show 99.
- Unplug the USB charging cable to close the port cover
Caution
- Do not use a USB charging cable that is not included for charging
- When using the device for the first time, please fully charge it.
- When charging with a USB hub, it may not charge properly. Be sure to use the USB adapter or the USB port on your computer to charge in an environment where a stable power supply is available.
It will take 2.5 hours to charge when all the power is used up fully.(This is
the data of the laboratory test, subject to the actual charging time).
When the charging light shows green, please unplug the USB charging cable.
About the use during the charging.
Please do not use this unit while charging. This will accelerate battery
deterioration and cause battery damage.
When using near water, please make sure the port cover is closed before using.
The use of hand-cranked power charging
- Press and hold the power button to turn off the power. Please do not charge or generate electricity with the power on.
- Pull out the handle.
- Rotate the handle clockwise to charge and generate electricity. Please rotate slowly at the beginning and gradually speed up the rotation speed. The charging light will light up red when the handle is rotating. Make the handle rotate 130-150 times a minute to charge. In the case of no power, continuing to rotate for 5 hours can be fully charged. (This is the data of the laboratory test, subject to the actual charging time)
- Pack up the handle.
Charging and power generation through the handle is the backup charging
function.
It is recommended for use in emergencies.
Charging method when using solar panels
- The battery light illuminates red when charging through the solar panel.
- Lights up green when fully charged.
Charging by the solar panel is the prepared charging function.
It is recommended for use in emergencies.
How to charge other devices by radio
- Press and hold the power button to turn off the power. Please do not charge with the power on.
- Open the port cover.
- Plugin the USB charging cable at the output port Plug in the USB charging cable at the output port and connect to an external machine.

The cable for charging is not provided. Please use the cable that comes with the external machine.
- The output of this product is 1.5A. Please do not use it if the device being charged does not support 1.5A.
- Damage or accidents to this product or rechargeable products caused by the use of unsupported equipment are not warranted.
- Please check with the manufacturer of the charged device to see if it is supported. The battery life of the recharged device may be shortened due to different specifications of the recharged device.
- This product is not guaranteed to charge all external devices. The charging speed may be very slow or almost impossible due to the specification of the device and cable being charged.
- Due to the specification of the charged device and cable, it may only charge up to 90~99%.
- Do not charge external devices at the same time as charging the unit.
How to use FLASHLIGHT or SOS ALARM etc

Method of use of SOS button
- Press and hold the SOS button at the bottom of the body. The alarm will sound, and the SOS light will flash red.
- Press and hold the SOS button again, and the alarm will stop. Please note that it will sound very loud.
How to use Bluetooth speakers
- Turn on the device, press the “M” button, switch to “BT” mode.
When “BT” is flashing, turn on the Bluetooth of your phone, search for
“DF-589”, click it and connect. When the device is connected, “BT” will not
blink.
Switch to the next song
Press ” > ” to play the next song.
Switch to the last song
Press ” < ” to play the previous song
Long press ④ “M” key, the device will be disconnected from other devices and
in the state of standby connection.
At this time, “BT” will keep flashing.
How to use radio (am/fm/wb/noaa)
AM/FM Mode
- Press the “M” key, and the FM/AM of the radio will be switched.
Automatic channel search

In the FM/AM mode of the radio, long-press the button ④ “M” key, the device will automatically retrieve all frequencies from the lowest value, automatically select and save the receivable channels. When the first receivable channel is retrieved, the value will stop briefly and display “P01”, and then continue to retrieve subsequent frequencies. When the second channel is retrieved, the value will stop briefly again and display “P02”, then continue to search for subsequent frequencies. When encountering receivable channels, the process can be deduced until all channels are received.

The number of channels that can be received varies depending on the radio wave condition of the place of use.

Station search by manual operation cannot be saved.
How to switch saved channels

Select the next channel
In AM/FM mode, the frequency value of Screen will change to “P00 (00 is the received channel number)”, and then it will change to the next channel. Press the + button to change to the next channel as well. -
Select the previous channel
When the Screen is “P00 (00 is the received channel number)”, press the – button to change to the previous channel.
How to change the frequency
- Press the “>” page down, and the radio frequency will rise one by one.
- Press the“<” page up, and the frequency of the radio will drop one by one
- Long press the “>”/“<” button will retrieve the frequency semi-automatically and will not save it automatically
For better signal reception

When playing FM
Extend the antenna and adjust the antenna to the direction where it can be heard most clearly. -
When playing AM
Please orient the unit to the direction where it can be heard most clearly.
* The WB/NOAA function is a dedicated channel for receiving weather disaster
information in the United States and Canada. It is only available in the
United States and Canada.
WB Mode**
- Press the M key to switch to WB mode.
How to change channels
- Pressing “+” will switch to the next channel
- Pressing “-” will switch to the previous channel
Method of use of NOAA
- Press the M key to switch to NOAA mode
In this mode, the device will automatically receive a playback of weather and natural disaster information from the National Weather Service, eliminating the need to find a station yourself manually. When the weather service is not broadcasting information, the device will not play any information.
Kind reminder
- When this product is wet, wipe off the moisture with a soft measuring cloth.
- When the device is stained, you can use a hard cloth dampened with a small amount of water diluted with neutral detergent to wipe it, wipe it with a cloth moistened with clean water, and then place the device in a cool, ventilated place to dry.
- Do not wipe the body with thinner gasoline or alcohol.
Long periods of non-use
- Please charge the battery every 2~3 months.
- Due to the characteristics of the battery, if the battery has no power for a long time, its life may be greatly shortened, and it may not be able to be charged.
