This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

2. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions,may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.if this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
– Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
– Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
– Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
– Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body.

After-sales service & Warm tips

(1) There are two types of device network distribution, EZ Mode (quick flash) and AP Mode (slow flash):
— For lighting equipment such as smart bulbs —

  1. Smart Mode
    EZ Mode (quick flash): Firstly, make sure that the device is powered off for more than 10 seconds, then power on the device.
    Next, switch the power of the device three times (on-off-on-off-on, and the interval between each on and off needs 2 to 4 seconds). Wait for a while until the lighting device starts flashing quickly, and the device enters EZ Mode. You can add the device now.

  2. AP Mode
    AP Mode (slow flash): There is no need to power off the device, but you need to turn on and off the power of the device three times (on-off-on-off-on) while the lighting device is flashing fast (the interval between each on and off requires 2 to 4
    seconds) . Wait for a moment until the lighting equipment starts to flash slowly, the device enters AP Mode. You can add the
    device now.

(2) Pete smart light bulbs are provided with a one-year after-sales service from the date of purchase.

(4) Here are some tips, we hope can help you.

  1. This smart led bulb can only support a 2.4G Wi-Fi network(Not compatible with 5.0GHz), please check if your router network is 2.4G.
  2. Make sure that your phone is already connected to your Wi-Fi router.
  3. 2.4G Wi-Fi signals will block by walls and doors, don’t install the smart bulbs too far away from the Wi-Fi router.
  4. Before configuring the smart bulbs, make sure that the device is powered off for more than 10 seconds.
  5. Normal Wi-Fi router has signal channel capacity, don’t connect too many Wi-Fi devices(such as smartphones, IP cameras, smart bulbs, etc.) to the same router.

Cautions

  1. In order to protect yourself from electric shock, please cut the power before installing.
  2.  Do not open and modify the smart bulbs by yourself.

Setting Smart Life APP

Smart Life APP will be updated constantly, app interface might look different from this manual. Please don’t hesitate to contact us by service@kxg.com if you have any problems.

Step 1: Scan the QR code or search “Smart Life” on the App Store or Google Play to download and install the Smart Life APP.
Step 2: Launch the Smart Life App and register. Enter your phone number or email to set up your account.
Step 3: After you have registered in Smart Life APP, now you can start to add your smart devices to your account.

 Two configuration methods (EZ/AP mode)

  1. Firstly, make sure your smartphone is connecting to your Wi-Fi router.
  2. Open App and click “+” to add a device.
  3. Refer to Page 1.
  4. Enter a Wi-Fi password to join your network.
  5. Wait till it is successfully connected..

How to connect the smart bulb to Alexa?

  1. Launch Smart Life App, sign in to your account and make sure Smart Bulb is in the device list.
  2. Modify device names so that Alexa can easily recognize them, such as Living Room Light Bedroom Light, etc.
  3. Minimize Smart Life App, then Launch the Alexa App sign in your Alexa account and make sure you have at least one Alexa voice-controlled device installed like Echo, Echo dot, etc.
  4. First, connect the Alexa app to echo successfully, and then perform the following operations.
  5. Tap on “Skills” in the Alexa app menu.
  6. Then search for “Smart Life”. Tap “Enable” to enable the Skill.
  7. Enter the Smart Life APP account and password, then tap “Link Now” to link your Smart Life account to enable the Skill. Now you can start your smart home journey.
  8. After your smart bulb is connected with Alexa successfully, you can simply ask Alexa to set your bulb like this:
    -Alexa(or echo), reduce [bedroom light] to 50 percent.
    -Alexa(or echo), increase [bedroom light] to 50 percent.
    -Alexa(or echo), set [kitchen light] to blue.

How to control light bulbs with Siri?

The current shortcut function of the system with IOS 13.0 can realize the control of intelligent products. The operation modes  are as follows:

  1. Open the app, enter the scene creation page, edit the scene name, add the execution action, and click “Add to Siri”, select the scene you want on the Siri shortcut page to add.
  2. Fill the phrase in the box under” When I say”. And then Siri can use it to tell your app to run this shortcut. For example, you can create a phrase: Back home.
  3. You can say to Siri: Back home. The mobile phone will pop up the scene that has been set, and the device set in the scene will perform the corresponding action.

The function of the system with IOS 12.0 can realize the control of intelligent products. The operation modes are as follows:

  1.  Open the app, enter the scene creation page, edit the scene name, add the execution action, and click “Add to Siri”, select the scene you want on the Siri shortcut page to add.
  2. Record your personalized phrase and then siri can use it to tell your app to run this shortcut.
  3. You can say to Siri: I am sleeping. The mobile phone will pop up the scene that has been set, and the device set in the scene will perform the corresponding action.

How to authorize family to control light bulbs?

  1. Enter the Smart Life APP click “Me”.
  2. Click on “Home Management”.
  3. Then enter the family that needs to be set up.
  4. Click “My Home”.
  5. Click “Add Member”.
  6. Finally, enter family account information.

How to control multiple bulbs at the same time?

  1. Click on the “Home” page.
  2. Choose one of the bulbs you want to control.
  3. Click the edit icon in the top right corner.
  4. Click “Create Group”.
  5. Choose all the bulbs you want to control.

How to change Wi-Fi from 5.0 to 2.4 Hz?

It is recommended that you log into the router’s control center to select the router’s frequency mode, open the router management page (usually on the label on the bottom of the router marked with the address of the management page), select the wireless frequency to 2.4GHz.

Other issues

  • Router Wi-Fi: If your router is a dual-band router, please make sure your phone is connecting to the 2.4GHz network when adding the smart bulbs.
  • Connection Failures:
  1.  Smart bulbs are too far from the router, Wi-Fi signal is so poor. Wi-Fi signal will be reduced or blocked by doors and walls. Please set up a Wi-Fi repeater to enhance the signal from the router to smart bulbs.
  2.  Too many Wi-Fi devices connect to the same router and Wi-Fi signal channels are full. Please set up a minor router for more Wi-Fi devices to connect.
