Muffled 2-in-1 Adapter Instructions For Use
INTENDED USE: The Muffled 2-in-1 Adapter is intended to thread onto the outlet of a flowmeter for connection to a 22mm male or 15mm female tube. The device also provides muffling of the noise produced by flowmeters when in use.
WARNING: This device produces back-pressure of approximately 2.8psi at 70LPM.* This device may cause inaccuracy in flow or oxygen readings if used with mixers or flow meters that are not pressure compensated.
WARNING: Do not attempt to clean the internal surfaces or muffler element of this device for any reason. If it is contaminated, discard immediately.
INSTALLATION: Thread the device onto the bottom of any flowmeter. Hand- tighten to a snug fit. Do not tighten with tools. Firmly push the mating hose onto the outlet of the device with a twisting motion to ensure a tight seal.
CLEANING: The outside surfaces of this device can be cleaned using standard hospital-grade cleaning solutions. Use caution to ensure no cleaning agents enter the device as this may result in contamination of delivered gas to a patient. Under normal circumstances, oxygen and air mixtures that pass through this single-direction device are medical-grade, therefore the need to clean internals of the Muffled 2-in-1 does not exist. If, for any reason, you expect that the internals of the device may be contaminated, discard the device immediately and replace it with a new one.
