SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid
injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to
keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to
someone else make sure to also include this manual.
In case of damage caused by the user failing to follow the instructions in
this manual, the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no
liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, negligent use,
or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food, please refer to the paragraph
“CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” of the manual. -
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels, and another residential type environment; bed and breakfast type environments.

Before inserting the plug into the main socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.

Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket.

If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur. There is a potential risk of injuries from tripping over the extension cord. Be careful to avoid dangerous situations.

Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.

Ensure that the mains cable is not hungover sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.

Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is a danger to life due to electric shock!

To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.

Do not touch the appliance if it falls into the water. Remove the plug from its socket, and send it to an authorized service center for repair.

Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.

Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.

Never leave the appliance unattended during use.

Do not use the appliance other than intended use.

Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

Place the appliance on a stable, level surface from which it cannot fall off.

If you use products with non-stick surfaces, please make sure no birds are in the same room and that the room can be completely closed off and well-ventilated.

Fill water or soup not more than 70% of the pot during operation. Spillage from overflow when boiled may cause an electrical hazard.

Never switch on the appliance with an empty pot which may result in serious damage to the appliance.

Do not cover the lid during grilling or if the grill plate is hot. Do not spatter anything other liquid than cooking oil on the grill plate. Do not touch the grill plate during cooking; it is very hot.

A “Flat-topped” tapered heater must be kept dry at all times. It is just solely for grill plate use. Do not try to use it for another purpose.

Place the pot in a dry place. Be careful to protect the heating base against dampness and shock. Never put the heating base into the water for cleaning.

Do not remove the pot from the heating base before it cools down. Removing the pot with force may damage the pot and the heating base.

Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.

The appliance should be given ample air circulation on all sides. The heating base has to face upwards when using.

Operate the appliance in a flat and dry place. Always keep the appliance dry, especially the heating base. The appliance may be deformed or damaged when exposed to high heat or used in unstable surroundings (excess water or humidity).

Make sure the outer surface of the pot and the heating base are clean and dry before plugin.
-
Before cooking, make sure the pot is levelly placed and tightly seated in the middle of the heating base.

Do not place any object nearby or cover or touch the hot steam vent of the glass lid while cooking. Beware of the hidden steam under the lid.

Never put the pot on any other cooking devices.
-
Never touch the outer body of the pot during operation.
Always allow it to cool down before handling. -
Extreme caution is necessary when moving the appliance with hot liquid inside.

This appliance is not suitable for outdoor use or to be used in damp areas. This appliance is for household use only.

Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. Do not place the flammable materials near the appliance.

WARNING!! Please do not touch the surface while in use. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Clean the appliance according to the section “Cleaning and maintenance”.
- To assemble the knob onto the glass lid, loosen the screw from the knob and then place the knob on top of the glass lid with the black washer underneath. Tighten back the screw firmly.
The appliance may emit some smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first time. This is normal and will stop soon.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant, and splash-proof surface where it cannot fall off.

Before each operation, remove any unwanted materials from the surface of the heating base and tapered heater. Ensure the pot sits firmly on the heating base before operation. The fondue button and grill button are set at position “O”.

Put the hot pot with soup or water on the heating base and turn slightly to fit the bottom of the pot to the surface of the heating base. Fill only 70% full when cooking to avoid spillage which may result in an electric hazard.

Fill the cooking pot with soup or water before placing it on the heating base. The grill pan must sit on the “flat-topped” tapered heater. Keep the “flat-topped” tapered heater dry.

Connect the power cord fully into the heating base socket first, and then plug it into an appropriate electrical outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate.

Fondue/ Hotpot function: Press the fondue button to position “I” = low-temperature setting / “II” = high temperature setting to turn on the fondue function. The fondue indicator light will illuminate.
Note: Heat the broth for about 20 minutes if cold. If you have prepared the broth on the stove and it is still hot, this time is reduced accordingly. -
Grill function: Press the grill button to position “I” to turn on the grilling function. The grill indicator light will illuminate. Before filling cooking oil, please let the grill plate dry up for a moment.
Note: During grilling, do not cover with lid. Otherwise, the lid knob temperature will be too hot to handle. -
After use, press the fondue button and grill button to position “O”.
RECIPE
Chinese hotpot (Chinese fondue) for 4 persons
Ingredients:
- 5 vegetable stock cubes
- 1 onion, in rings
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 400 g vegetables: snow peas, pepper strips, mushrooms, onion rings, shiitakes, carrot
- 800 g meat: steak, veal tenderloin, fricandeau, pig liver, pork tenderloin, chicken breast, turkey fillets, chopped
Prepare:
Bring 2 liters of water to a boil with the vegetable stock cubes. Add the
onion and garlic and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut the vegetables into strips or cubes and place on a separate
bowl. Cut the meat into thin strips (not diced) and arrange the type of meat
on a nice dish (or 2 bowls for more than 5 persons). Serve chicken separately
on a plate.
Heat the broth for about 20 minutes if cold. If you have prepared the broth on
the stove and it is still hot, this time is reduced accordingly.
Put the meat and vegetables in a basket in the vegetable stock until it is
cooked.
Note:
Chinese Hotpot is a fondue without grease or oil, but with a strong vegetable
stock in which light meats and vegetables are cooked.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning the appliance, make sure you remove the plug from the main socket. Allow it to cool down completely.
Note: Never immerse the appliance into water or any other liquids. -
Clean the pot and the glass lid with water and a sponge.

Wipe clean the heating base with a damp cloth. Do not wash the heating base in water.

Dry well before storage.
-
All non-electrical parts are dishwasher safe.
CAUTION: The pot will stick on the heating base tightly when heating. Do not remove the pot from the heating base before it cools down. Removing with force will damage the pot and the heating base.

the instruction manual will lead to a void of warranty, if this results in
inconsequential damages then we will not be liable.
Neither can we hold responsible for material damage or personal injury caused
by improper use if the instruction manual is not properly executed? Damage to
accessories does not mean free replacement of the whole appliance. In such
case please contact our service department. Broken glass or breakage of
plastic parts is always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts
subjected to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of
said parts are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid.
