GENERAL SAFETY

  1. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.

  2. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

  3. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

  4. Children shall not play with the appliance.

  5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  6. Warning: risk of injury in case of misuse.

  7. This appliance is intended to be used in household and  similar applications such as staff kitchen areas in shops,  offices and other working environments; farm houses; by
    clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.

  8. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

  9. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl, and cleaning.

  10.  Take special care when preparing food for babies, the elderly, and the infirm. Always ensure that the hand blender shaft is thoroughly sterilized. Use a sterilizing solution in
    accordance with the sterilizing solution manufacturers’ instructions.

  11. Never touch the blades while the machine’s plugged in.

  12. Keep fingers, hair, clothing, and utensils away from moving parts.

  13.  Unplug after use and before changing attachments.

  14. Never blend hot oil or fat.

  15. Do not allow children to use the blender without supervision.

  16. Never use a damaged hand blender. Get it checked or repaired in your local place.

  17. Never put the power handle in water or let the cord or plug get wet-you could get an electric shock. Never let the cord touch hot surfaces or hang down where a child could grab it.

  18. Never use an unauthorized attachment.

  19. The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.

  20. Do not leave the appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when no use and before servicing.

  21. This appliance is not designed for commercial use.

  22. If you want to blend directly in the saucepan, you should take the saucepan away from the stove first and let it cool down slightly. Do not blend any food at a temperature that is higher than 40⁰C, otherwise your hand blender could get overheated.

  23. Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food, speed settings, and operating times, please refer to the below paragraph of the manual.

CHOPPER ATTACHMENT

  1.  Don’t touch the sharp blades.
  2. Remove the chopper blades before emptying the bowl.
  3.  Never remove the cover until the blade has completely stopped.

IMPORTANT

  1. This device is designed to handle average amounts of food. It can be used without interruption for a maximum of 1 minute. After that, it should be allowed to cool for 5 minutes otherwise it will overheat.
  2. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
  3. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl, and during cleaning.
  4. Only use your hand blender for its intended domestic use.

BEFORE USING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME

  1.  Remove all packaging and throw away the blades covers.
  2. Wash the parts: see “CLEANING”.

FOR SAUCEPAN BLENDING

Take the pan off the heat and let it cool slightly. Otherwise, your hand blender could overheat.

  1. Fit the power handle inside the blender shaft, turn and lock.
  2. Plugin. To avoid splashing, place the blade in the food before switching on.
  3. Hold the container steady. Then press either speed button (use speed “I” for slower blending to reduce splashing).
  4. Don’t let the liquid get above the joint between the power handle and blender shaft.
  5. If your blender gets blocked, unplug it before cleaning.
  6. After use, unplug and dismantle.

TO USE THE CHOPPER

You can chop meat, cheese, vegetables, herbs, bread, biscuits, and nuts.
Don’t chop hard foods such as coffee beans, ice cubes, spices, or chocolate, otherwise, you will damage the blade.

  1. Remove any bones and cut food into 1-2cm cubes.
  2. Fit the chopper blade over the pin in the bowl.
  3.  Add your food.
  4. Fit the chopper cover, turn and lock.
  5.  Fit the power handle, turn and lock.
  6. Plug in. Hold the bowl steady. Then press speed “II”.
  7. After use, unplug and dismantle.

TO USE THE WHISK

You can whip light ingredients such as egg whites, cream, instant desserts, and eggs and sugar for whisked sponges.
Don’t whisk heavier mixtures such as margarine and sugar, you’ll damage the whisk.
Don’t whisk more than 4 egg whites or 400ml (0.75pt) cream.
Don’t let the liquid get above the whisk wires.

  1. Fit the power handle inside the whisk collar, turn and lock.
  2.  Place your food in a bowl.
  3.  Plugin. To avoid splashing, start on speed 1, move the whisk clockwise.
  4. After use, unplug and dismantle.

CLEANING

  1. Always switch off and unplug before cleaning.
  2.  Don’t touch the sharp blades.
  3. Take special care when preparing food for babies, the elderly and the infirm. Always ensure that the hand blender shaft is thoroughly sterilized. Use a sterilizing solution in accordance with the sterilizing solution in manufacturers’ instructions.
  4.  Some foods, eg. Carrot may discolor the plastic. Rubbing with a cloth dipped in vegetable oil helps remove discoloring.
  5. Do not wash any parts in a dishwasher.

Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts is always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subjected to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid.
