INTRODUCTION

This USB.2.0 Extender is capable of sending USB signals across a Cat.5 cable or higher up to 50 meters at a data rate of High Speed (480Mb/s), Full-Speed (12Mb/s), and Low Speed (1.5Mb/s). Plug the Cat 5/6 cable into the RJ-45 Connector to set up the extender. It takes only minutes to do so, and there is no configuration or drivers necessary. The USB 2.0 Extender is fully USB 2.0 compliant and it is backward compatible with USB 1.1/1.0.

FEATURES:

  • Supports data transfer rates of 1.5Mb/s, 12Mb/s, 480Mb/s
  • The product consists of two electronic modules, a “Transmitter unit” and a “Receiver unit”.
  • The Transmitter unit connects to a USB 2.0 Camera/Device.
  • Units can be connected by a standard Cat. 5 cable or higher, which can then enable the extension of USB devices up to 50m (164 feet).
  • Wall mounting integrated in the metal housing
  • Support Hot Plug & Play- no software driver is required

2| LINK LED(Green)| LED ON Indicates a valid connection between the Transmitter Unit and Receiver Unit has been established via CatS/6 cables.
LED OFF is a bad Cat 5 cable or connector
3| ACT LED(Amber)| The LED FLASHING shows the extender is linked to the PC properly & the Camera plugged into the downstream Transmitter is sending data. LED ON shows no data is being transmitted

INSTALLATION :

  1. Connect the Receiver Unit to the PC via USB Cable (A Male to B Male).

  2. Plug the 24V/0.5A DC Power Supply into the USB 2.0 Extender Receiver Unit.
    Plug the AC power cord of the power supply into an available electrical outlet.

  3. Connect the USB 2.0 Extender Transmitter Unit and Receiver Unit together with
    a Cat 5/6 Cable (supplied by user).

  4. Connect USB Camera to the Transmitter Unit.

  5. Check the LEDs on the USB 2.0 Extender Transmitter Unit. Make sure that the Act.
    LED is flashing which means the extender is powered and communicating.
