SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order toavoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual. In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer / importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use this device in a bathtub, shower, or water-filled reservoir. WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
- When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
- Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.
- Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
- Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!
- To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
- Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service centre for repair.
- Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
- Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself This could cause electric shock.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- This appliance is not designed for commercial use.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
- Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
- Keep the device and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges and suchlike.
- Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this is only for a moment.
- Do not use the device outdoors.
- The heating plates operate at very high temperatures. Caution: skin contact with these parts may cause burns. Do not touch any part of the appliance except the grip area.
- Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair-pieces or wigs, as the heat emitted might cause damage to the synthetic fibres.
- Take special care not to let any hot parts of the appliance come into contact with the scalp, ears or face.
- Do not place or drop foreign objects in any of the device’s openings as this could cause electric shocks.
- Do not place the heated parts of the device on surfaces that are heat-sensitive.
- Only suitable for use on dry hair. Do not use the device on wet hair.
- Do not use any styling products such as hair spray, gel or mousse. They may stick to the brush.
- Do not place the appliance on soft material e.g. carpet, bedding, towels, rugs etc.
- Do not operate in where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
SPECIAL ATTENTION
Your new styling brush is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When plugged in and operating for the first time, there may be a little momentary smoking and slight odour. This represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in your styling brush. When using for the first time, allow it to continue running until the smoke dissipates. The smoking and odour will disappear after you have used thedevice several times. The heating plate surface of this styling brush is painted with tourmaline. Tourmaline is made from 100% crushed tourmaline mineral. A precious stone, tourmaline is the world’s finest ionic and infrared generator. Tourmaline naturally and constantlyemits negative ions and infrared heat which impart great benefits to hair when using.
Benefits: Silky, shine. Negative ions close the cuticle layer to create a smooth, shiny hair surface and to lock in hair’s own natural moisture.

TO USE
- Plug in the appliance.
- Press and hold the on / off and temperature adjustment button for approx. 3 seconds to switch on the appliance. The appliance starts to heat up.
- You can press on / off and temperature adjustment button again to adjust the temperature from 120ºC-200ºC by 20ºC per press.
- During heating up, the digital display will flash with the set temperature. When the set temperature is reached, the digital display will stop flashing, then you can start to use the appliance. Be careful not to touch the hot parts of the brush when using.
- Comb through the hair with a standard hair brush or comb to make sure there are no knots in the hair. Divide the hair up into sections. Move the styling brush through the hair. Do not keep the brush for a longer period at the same place to avoid damaging your hair Make sure you do not touch your scalp with the device! Repeat the process until you are satisfied with the result.
- After use, press and hold the on / off and temperature adjustment button for approx. 3 seconds to switch off the appliance, and then unplug it. Always remove the mains plug from the plug socket when the device is not in use.
- Allow hair to cool down.
NOTE:
- Only suitable for use on dry hair.
- The device has an automatic switch-off function. If the device is switched on for 60 minutes without interruption, it switches off automatically.
- The higher temperature setting, the faster you will get a sleek straightening result. When working at the maximum temperature setting, you should not treat the same strand more than once.
TO CLEAN
Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe appliance surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the unit. 30
TO STORE
Unplug the appliance, allow to cool, and store in its box or in a dry place. Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Never hang unit by the cord. Use the hanging loop. Store the cord loosely coiled. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

SECURITY
This HEMA item may be fitted with a plastic anti-theft strip. You will find the strip on the bottom of the product. This strip does not influence the quality or the operation of the product and can be removed without a problem.
FAULTS AND REPAIRS
If this device needs to be repaired, you can hand it in at a HEMA branch after packing the product securely. Do not try to repair this product yourself. For repairs that fall within the warranty period, you will need to show a proof of purchase and the warranty document. Regularly check the power cord for damage. If there is any damage to the cord set, please return the item to a HEMA branch for repair. Do not try to replace it yourself. For safety reasons we recommend that you do not carry out any repairs to an electrical device yourself.
WARRANTY
The warranty period is 2 years from the date of purchase. Always keep your receipt in a safe place. It’s handy if you take a picture of the receipt and save it somewhere. Then you will always have an easy-to-read receipt in your possession.

Warranty claims
If you wish to make a warranty claim, please return the product with proof of purchase to one of our stores. The store will determine whether to replace the product (with an identical or equivalent product), accept the product for repair within a reasonable period of time or refund the price of the product.
Invalidation of warranty
The warranty on this article is invalidated if the fault or defect is caused
by:
a) normal wear and tear
b) external damage (for example, damage caused by exposure to sand or moisture
or due to falling of the product, etc.)
c) improper or inappropriate use
d) overdue or incorrect maintenance, including repairs that were not
authorised by HEMA
The above list does not exclude other possible reasons for defects not being
covered by the warranty.

You may swap or return the product within 30 days after purchase (provided it is undamaged and you have proof of purchase).
