UCTRONICS U6235 RIDEN RD6012 is a 720W DC step down converter and stabilized power supply module that outputs a constant voltage (DC 0.0V-60V) and constant current (0.0A-12A) with an input voltage of DC 6.0V-70V.

NOTE

  • Please make sure the input power is in the range DC 6V to 70V, otherwise, there is a possibility of burning or not working properly.
  • The output short circuit will trigger shutting off automatically for protection when OCP value is lower than I-SET value; While the OCP value is higher, the output short circuit makes it switch to constant current output mode.
  • Non-professionals must not use the function of charging the battery, otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion.
  • This module can’t be used to charge the batteries with a charging limit voltage higher than 60V

  • W: Date and time

  • X: Buzzer status

  • Y: Button lock status (press SHIFT button, then press LOCK button to lock/unlock button function to prevent mis operation)

  • Z: Communication interface

  • AA: Actual output voltage

  • AB: Actual output current

  • AC: Output power

  • AD: Current data group

  • AE: Constant voltage/constant current status

  • AF: Protection status indication

  • AG: Battery charging indication (lights up when charging the battery)

  • AH: Battery related information display area

  • AI: Overcurrent protection value

  • AJ: Overvoltage protection value

  • AK: Output current preset value

  • AL: Output voltage preset value

  • AM: Input voltage

  • Press I-SET/V-SET button to set preset value directly; press SHIFT button and then press I-SET/V-SET button to set over current/voltage protection value; press ENTER button to save the value and press the potentiometer or I-SET/V-SET button to cancel.

  • Press MEM button and then press keypad (1-9) to store the data; Press SHIFT button and then press keypad (1-9) to call storge data quickly.

Parameter Page

Press SHIFT button and then press MENU button to enter the setting page. Press the ENTER button to locate the parameter page, switch the parameter item via arrow keys. Rotate the potentiometer to adjust the parameter value, press ENTER button to save the value, press the potentiometer to cancel setting. Then press the potentiometer to exit this page.

Explanation of each parameter item as is shown below:

Call OK If turned o , the setting values will be modified directly when you

call out a data array.
Call Out| If turned on, it outputs the power automatically with the value of the data array.
Power On| If turned on, it outputs automatically when powered.
Beeper| Key tone
Logo| Display the logo when booting
Language| System language
Backlight| 0-5, 6 brightness levels
Interface| Communication interface, USB, Wi-Fi or TTL
Baudrate| The baud rate can be set 9600/19200/38400/57600/115200 under USB mode
Address| Device address can be set from 001-255
**** Date| The default date and time is 2019-01-01 00:00:00, timekeeping when powered or equipped with clock battery, otherwise, it’s back to default time when shuts off.

Measure| The refresh rate of the voltage and current on the main page, you can set it to low, middle and high.

Main Page Style

After entering the parameter page, pressing the left and right arrow keys to switch the setting pages. The second page is the style choice of the main page, you can set classic style or curve style. Press the ENTER button to locate the page, switch the style choice via pressing the left and right arrow keys. Press ENTER button to save the value, press the potentiometer to cancel setting. Then press the potentiometer to exit the parameter page.

Data Storage Group Setting

The third page is data storage group, you can check and set every data group on this page. Press the ENTER button to locate the page, switch the data groups via pressing the arrow keys. Press I-SET/V-SET to set the preset value of the selected data group; Press the SHIFT button and then Press I-SET/V-SET to set protection value. Press ENTER button to save the value, press the potentiometer to cancel setting. Then press the potentiometer to exit parameter page.

The fourth page is device information. You can check the SN number, firmware version and system temperature here.

PC SOFTWARE

This power supply module also can be controlled by its own PC software. This PC software requires OS Win 7 or above version, and please keep the Internet connection.

This PC software has no virus, if your anti-virus software prompts for a virus warning, please allow all its features, otherwise it will affect the installation and operation.

Unzip the downloaded file and double-click CH341SER.EXE first to install the driver, click [Next] until succeed.

Double click RidenPowerSupply.EXE to install the PC software, and it will automatically detect whether .NET Framework 4.7.2 is installed, if not, .NET Framework 4.7.2 will be installed automatically.

Double click RidenPowerSupply.EXE to enter the PC software.

Click the language bar “语言” to switch to English. Connect the power module to the PC via the micro USB communication interface, and then click “Online” to start communication. If the communication succeeds, it turns to “Break” and the power supply button will be locked automatically, the buttons will automatically unlock after 3 seconds of accidental disconnection; Click “Open” to turn on the output, and it will turn to “Close”.

On the BasicFun page, you can set the output voltage/current preset value, call out the storage data group quickly, adjust the brightness and view the output current and voltage curve. There is also a calibration fine tuning bar “LittleCorrect”, the enter password is “168168”, but this function needs to be operated by professionals, otherwise, it will be damaged by incorrection operation. If needed, please contact us for support.
There are also other 5 bars on the top, you can update the firmware, change the boot screen (320×240 pixel and 96dpi resolution) and check the device information.
