Instructions for Use
Before You Get Started
- Please read the instructions carefully prior to use and follow them strictly. Reliability of the assay cannot be guaranteed if there are any deviations from the instructions for use.
- After the specimen is collected, it should be processed with the buffer provided as soon as possible.
- Do not open the pouch until ready to perform a test. Use the test under low environment humidity and within 1 hour of packaging opening.
- Bring all the reagents and specimens to room temperature (10-30°C) before use.
- You will need internet access to register the QR code on your cassette.
- If you do not register your QR code, we will be unable to process your results.
- Ensure all components are to hand before collecting the sample.
Instructions
-
Step 1: Unseal the foil pouch and put the cassette on a clean, dry and level surface.
-
Step 2: Register your kit online at www.chronomics.com/register and enter the QR code found on your cassette.
-
Step 3: Open the swab package carefully and remove the swab. Insert the swab into the nasal cavity, gently turn and push the swab into the nasal cavity until it is blocked at the turbinate (about 2.0-2.5cm from the nostril). Rotate the swab three times against the wall of the nasal cavity and remove the swab.
-
Step 4: Use the same swab to sample the other nostril in the same way to ensure that you get enough sample.
-
Step 5: Carefully twist or snap open the extraction buffer sachet. Be careful not to spill any of the liquid.
-
Step 6: Squeeze all the liquid out of the sachet and into the test tube.
-
Step 7: Insert the fabric tip of the swab into the liquid in the test tube, and rotate it against the inner wall of the test tube about 10 times to dissolve the specimen in the solution as much as possible.
-
Step 8: Squeeze the tip of the swab along the inner wall of the test tube to keep the liquid in the tube as much as possible, then remove and discard the swab.
-
Step 9: Press the nozzle cap tightly on the test tube to avoid any leaks.
-
Step 10: Add 5 drops of treated specimen into the “S” well of the cassette.
-
Step 11: Start a timer or stopwatch. Wait at least 15 minutes (and 20 minutes at most) to interpret the result.
-
Step 12: Finalize the registration of your result following the instructions found at www.chronomics.com/register
