  • An Apple® SuperDrive® must be connected directly to the laptop ports.
  • For stable performance when connecting multiple hard drives, please connect an external power source to the USB-C port.
Warning: Do not connect or disconnect a power source to/from the USB-C port while transferring data.

Due to its Power Delivery 3.0 capabilities, the U6-1VPD-2 recognizes when a power source is connected or disconnected, and it seamlessly switches between PD and bus-power. However, in order to completely avoid the risk of data loss or corruption, it is always safest to stop any file transfers before connecting or disconnecting a power source from the hub’s USB-C port.
