position

The upper plate is closed or rests on the base. Use this position when heating the product and when grilling most foods. In this position, food will cook quickly since both sides cook at the same time.

  1. Close the upper plate.

  2. Plug the appliance into the wall outlet, rotate the thermostat knob to select your desired heating level.

  3. During the whole process, the ready light will turn off to indicate the grill is heating and turn on to indicate the set temperature has been reached.

  4. Open the upper plate.

  5. Put the sandwich, meat or other food on the bottom cooking plate.

  6. Close the grill. The upper plate will self-adjust to the thickness of the food.
NOTE: If cooking more than one piece of food at a time, food items should be similar in thickness to ensure the upper plate rests evenly on the food for even cooking.

  7. The cooking will take several minutes depending on different food.

  8. When the food is cooked, use the handle to open the lid. Remove the food with the help of a plastic heat-resistant spatula. Never use metal tongs or a knife as these can cause damage to the non-stick coating of the cooking plates.

Note: the appliance has a securing latch:
Slide the latch to position A, the handle is unlocked. when the upper plate is closed, side the latch to position B, the handle is locked; it is easy to move the appliance.

When the upper plate is in open position, slide the latch to position B/C/D/E/F, then close the upper plate; you can adjust the distance between the upper plate and bottom plate.

2. Open Position:

The upper plate is open. Lift the handle until the upper housing is at about a 90°angle. The position is appropriate for when grilling certain foods in which the upper grill plate is not appropriate, such as pizza or fish. Follow steps 2,3,5,7,8 in above section “closed position”.

3. Flat Position:

Position
To make the upper plate be levelled with the bottom plate, push and hold the hinge release button in the arrow’s direction with one hand, and make the upper plate rest flat with the other hand. Use the grill as an open grill to cook burgers, steak, poultry (we do not recommend cooking bone-in chicken, since it does not cook evenly on an open grill), fish and vegetables.
