Product Usage Instructions

Preparation

1. Prepare a bootable external USB storage device.

2. Download the Altos BIOS zip file “Altos P130_F7 BIOS (R01-A5).zip” from the Altos Support Download website: https://www.altoscomputing.com.

3. Copy and decompress the downloaded zip file into your external USB storage device.

4. Reboot the P130_F7 workstation.

5. During the POST LOGO screen, press the specified key (not mentioned in the manual) to enter BIOS setup.

6. Plug in your external USB storage device to the P130_F7 workstation.

7. In the BIOS settings, navigate to [Authentication] and select [Secure Boot]. Change the setting to “Disable”.

9. Press the specified key or select [Exit] and choose [Save & Exit Setup] to save the above BIOS configuration changes.

10. Reboot the P130_F7 workstation.

11. The system will automatically boot to EFI Shell Mode.

12. Key in the command cd EFI to go to the Shell path (e.g., fs0:EFI).

13. Key in the command flash.nsh and press Enter to start flashing the BIOS and ME firmware.

EFI Shell Update User Manual

1. Please prepare a bootable external USB storage device.
2.  Please download the Altos BIOS zip file “Altos P130_F7 BIOS (R01-A5).zip” from Altos Support Down-load website. ( https://www.altoscomputing.com )
3. Copy and decompress the above zip file into your external USB storage device.
4. Reboot the P130_F7 workstation and press during POST LOGO to entry BIOS setup.
5. Plug-in your external USB storage device to P130_F7 workstation.
6. Change BIOS Setting: [Authentication]->[Secure Boot ]->Disable.
7. Change BIOS Setting: [Launch CSM]->Never.
8. Press or select [Exit]->[Save & Exit Setup] to save above BIOS configuration changes.
9. Reboot the P130_F7 workstation and system will boot to EFI Shell Mode automatically
10. Please key in ‘cd EFI’ (Go to Shell path like “fs0:\EFI”)
11. Please key in ‘flash.nsh’
12. Press to start flash BIOS and ME firmware.
13. Press and the system will be going to shut down.
14. System will auto reboot and start flash BIOS automatically.
