Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Download BIOS Update File

Step 2: Prepare an External USB Storage Device

  • 1. Connect an external USB storage device to your computer.
  • 2. Copy the downloaded zip file to the external USB storage device.
  • 3. Decompress the zip file on the external USB storage device.

Step 3: Run Command Prompt as Administrator

  • 1. Right-click the Command Prompt icon in your Windows Start menu.
  • 2. Select “Run as Administrator” from the context menu.

Step 4: Change Working Directory

  • 1. In the Command Prompt window, change the current working directory to “Altos P10_F7 BIOS (R01-B2)UCP” on the external USB storage device.

Step 5: Execute BIOS Flash Tool

  • 1. Run the BIOS flash tool named “R01-B2.exe”.
  • 2. The BIOS update process will begin.

Step 6: System Shutdown

  • 1. After executing the BIOS flash tool, press any key to initiate the system shutdown process.

Step 7: System Reboot and Flash BIOS

  • 1. The system will automatically reboot and flash the updated BIOS.
  • 2. Do not interrupt the process by unplugging the AC power cord or powering off the workstation system. Doing so may result in system failure and void Alto’s limited warranty.

Upgrade System BIOS in Windows Mode

  1. Please download the Altos BIOS zip file “Altos P10_F7 BIOS (R01-B2).zip” from Alto’s official website. (https://www.altoscomputing.com/zh-TW/download)
  2. Copy and decompress the above zip file into your external USB storage device.
  3. To run the Command Prompt application in an Administrator role in Windows 10 or Windows 11, right-click the icon in your Windows Start menu and select “Run as Administrator”. (See below pictureF7-BrainSphere-P10-Altos-BrainSphere-ME-Firmware-and-System-FIG-1
  4. Please change working directory to “\Altos P10_F7 BIOS (R01-B2)\UCP\” of your external USB storage drive.

  7. The system will auto reboot and flash BIOS.
