Extend Your Warranty

Increase the volume: short press the volume + button
Decrease the volume: short press the volume – button
Next: Press and hold the volume + button for 2 seconds
Previous: Press and hold the volume – button for 2 seconds
Pause: short press the Play/ Pause/ Call button

Tip: You can turn off the sound effect when the speaker is turned on by pressing the Play/ Pause/ Call button twice quickly.
Press and hold the Play/ Pause/ Call button for 2 seconds to disconnect the current Bluetooth connection.

    • The blue light lit when the speaker is on

    The red light is on when you insert 3.5mm audio cable
    Turn on the power & Turn off the power:

    • To turn on the power: press and hold the power button for 2 seconds
    • To turn off the power: press and hold the power button for 2 seconds

Note: If your device is neither playing music nor connected, the speaker will not be turned off automatically.

PAIRING AND CONNECTIONS

For your Bluetooth devices
Please make sure your Vako Handy has enough battery power; it cannot be connected when the battery is too low.

Pairing and Connections

  1. Open your Vako Handy to prepare for pairing. Turn on your device’s Bluetooth and search for “VaKo Handy” and make a connection, then you can play the music.
  2. When the Vako Handy is turned on and your device’s Bluetooth is on, it will automatically try to connect the last device used.

Note: When you are pairing different devices, disconnect the existing device.

Especially for your Amazon Echo Dot
  1. Connect to Echo Dot/ Echo for the first time; please open the Alexa App on your device and use it to pair and connect.
  2. Select Home in the upper left corner of the interface, then click “settings”.
  3. Select your Echo Dot/ Echo in the device list. Click “Bluetooth”.
  4. When “Vako Handy” appears in your device options, Alexa will prompt “Connect to Vako Handy”.
  5. The next time you connect, just say “Alexa, Connect my speaker” or “Alexa, Pair”, and the speaker will be connected automatically.
  6. When you want to disconnect the speaker, say, “Alexa, Disconnect my speaker”.
  7. If you would like to get help with Alexa App, please contact Amazon’s Customer Service or open the Alexa App and select help & feedback > Email Customer Service.

Important: When the Vako Handy is connected to Echo/ Dot for playback, the speaker will remain on and will not automatically turn off.

  1. Make sure your Vako Handy battery has enough power and turn on the Bluetooth speaker.
  2. To achieve the best result, place the speaker on an open floor to reduce the middle barrier.
  3. Turn on both speakers; when the blue light starts to flash, the speakers are ready to pair.
  4. Press and hold the volume (+&-) button of one of the speakers until you hear a beep, then you will hear the sound of “Ding Ding Ding”, indicating the two speakers are paired successfully.
  5. Open your device and search for “Vako Handy”, it will automatically connect one of the speakers. When the pairing is completed, only one speaker can control the volume, and then you can start playing music. (That speaker is called “Play Control Speaker”)

Note: To pair two speakers, please ensure that the two speakers are not connected to other devices via Bluetooth. If one of them is connected, they will not be able to make a pairing connection (recommendation: don’t turn on your phone’s Bluetooth function before the pairing is successful)
Tip: For a better listening experience, please put the speakers within 33 feet of each other.

You can play with your Apple Mac, Laptop, Computer, and non-Bluetooth devices by using the 3.5mm audio cable.

Close the waterproof rubber cover before you put the speaker into water to improve its waterproof function. It is recommended to clean up on time when there are water stains on the speaker.

Notice

  1. Please follow the instructions for all operations and use.
  2. Please don’t charge the speaker when it is in wet condition, otherwise, it will lead to the battery getting burned.
  3. Do not damage the cable, especially at the connector.
  4. Unplug the USB charging cable when it is not in use or during a thunderstorm.
  5. Please keep the speaker away from the heat sources (including all equipment that generates heat), such as stoves.
  6. Do not disassemble the speaker.
  7. If the battery leaks, do not touch skin or eyes. If you touch any of these bodyparts, we suggest consulting your doctor.

CE, RoHS have approved this equipment. The restrictions highlighted above are designed to prevent harmful interference when the equipment is installed in a residential place.

Troubleshooting & Customer Support

Can not turn on
The battery may have become fully drained. Charge the Vako Handy using a wall charger from a Smartphone/ iPhone, then press the power button to turn on the speaker. Then continue charging the battery.

Can not pair or connect to Bluetooth
Check the Bluetooth LED light (Blue) to make sure it is flashing quickly. If it is slowly flashing the blue light, that means the Vako Handy is already connected to a device from another source. The speaker can be paired with only one device at a time, meaning if you would like to pair the speaker with a second different device, you must cut off the pairing between the initial device and the speaker.

Check that your Vako Handy has a sufficient battery charge; the speaker may not connect when the battery has a low charge.

Connect the speaker to a charging source and try to pair again and connect.
Some older Windows computers and operating systems may have difficulty pairing and connecting over Bluetooth. If this occurs, it is recommended to connect using the 3.5mm audio cable.

No audio playing from the speaker when connected over Bluetooth
Remove the Vako Handy from the Bluetooth device list on your source device, and then repair and connect to the speaker. Your Bluetooth device may be out of range; move closer to it, within 80 unobstructed feet.

No audio playing from the speaker when connected with the 3.5mm audio cable
Make sure the 3.5mm audio cable is fully inserted into the Vako Handy and device. Make sure your device is on and playing music, Increase the volume level on the Vako Handy and your device.

Poor sound quality when connected over Bluetooth
Your Bluetooth device may be out of range; move closer to it, within 80 unobstructed feet.
Remove the Vako Handy from the Bluetooth device list on your source device, and then repair and connect to the speaker.
Maybe the Bluetooth version of your device is too low; you may need to upgrade your device’s Bluetooth version.
Kindly note also that some devices need to have their Wi-Fi turned off to improve audio quality over Bluetooth.
