| 6. Take regular breaks, it is recommended to remove the mask and take a
break at least once every 20~30 mins of use, make sure your kids breathe fresh
air during the break.
| 7. Make sure you are hydrated before stepping in the ocean/swimming pool.
Being dehydrated can make a lot of things difficult including
snorkeling/swimming.
| 8. Keep a light, steady pace, control your breathing, take deep, slow
breaths. The right breathing technique is important in water activities. You
must be getting enough oxygen and to do that you must take long, steady
breaths. If you feel short of breath just remove the mask and make sure you
are flushing out any dirty air.
| 9. Please don’t jump into the water with wearing the mask, because the
pressure of hitting the water is extremely bigger than you can imagine.

Snorkeling/ Swimming Use Tips
How to wear the snorkel set
- Attach your snorkel to the mask. On the snorkel, there is a small clip used to attach the snorkel to the left side (L) of your mask’s strap.
- Put the snorkeling mask on. Slick back your hair before applying the mask to ensure no hair is trapped in it. The strap should be elevated slightly across the back of your head. Push the mask against your face while breathing in and tighten the strap to ensure a snug fit.
- Put the snorkel into your mouth. Adjust the snorkel clip as the snorkel mouthpiece faces toward your face and is level with your mouth.
How to prevent the mask from fogging
- Avoid touching the inside of your mask, especially right after you use a defogger, Touching your mask may leave fingerprints on it, making the defogger less effective and dirtying your mask.
- Don’t breathe out of your nose. It may take some time to adjust to solely breathing in and out through your mouth, but exhaling through your nose is the main cause of mask fog.
- Cleaning the mask with non-whitening toothpaste or defogger is a great way to reduce fog, especially for brand new masks. You can use either a soft-bristled toothbrush or your fingers. If you use your fingers, it’s important to wash them so that the oils from your hands don’t prevent you from cleaning the mask completely. Spread toothpaste on the lenses inside your mask and rub it in to cover the lenses completely. After that, wash your mask out while trying not to touch the mask glass too much.
How to prevent the mask from leaking
- Check if the mask fits kids‛ faces before using it in the water.
- Take time to adjust the mask once in the water.
- Don‛t exhale with the nose (unless equalizing the mask)
- Keep mouth and facial muscles relaxed, and kids‛ head movements small and slow.
- Clean and store mask properly.
How to choose fit fins
A blade that‛s too stiff will give you foot and leg cramps in short order,
regardless of how perfectly they fit you! GINTENCO flippers with flexible
material will give you a better experience. A snug fit will also reduce
chafing and slipping around your ankle. Use fin socks for extra comfort,
insulation, or if you‛re between sizes.
