TV/PC Sound Sotting Instruction

  1. If there is no sound: Please make sure to switch to PCM sound on your TV audio setting when you connected the optical cable or ARC. If you are using Smart TV: Apps like Netflix’s audio by default, are set to Dolby and DTS for audio in some brand TV, this soundbar does not support DTS audio. So you must disable Dolby and DTS in Netflix, or set audio to “Stereo’ mode. Please visit “https:fibitly/vmaitech” (CASE SENSITIVE) or view the user manual for more detail about above TV setting.

  6. The unit should not be impeded by covering the ventilation opening with items such as newspaper, tablecloths, curtains, etc. Make sure that there is at least 20 cm of space above and at least 5 cm of space on each side of the unit.
  7. The apparatus must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed on the apparatus.
  8. To prevent fire or shock hazards, do not expose this equipment to direct heat, rain, moisture or dust.
  9. Do not locate this unit near any water sources e.g. taps, bathtubs, washing machines or swimming pools. Ensure that you place the unit on a dry, stable surface. 10. Do not place this unit close to a strong magnetic field.
  10. Do not place the unit on an amplifier or receiver.
  11. Do not place this unit in a damp area as the moisture will affect the life of electric components.
  12. Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  13. When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull on the cord.
  14. Depending on the electromagnetic waves used by a television broadcast, if a TV is turned on near this unit while it is also on, lines might appear on the TV screen. Neither this unit nor the TV is malfunctioning. If you see such lines, keep this unit well away from the TV set.
  15. The mains plug is used to disconnect the device, the disconnected device should remain readily operable.

Important Safety Instructions

  2. Do not use this apparatus near water.
  3. Clean only with dry cloth.
  4. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  6. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other.
  7. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles or at the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  8. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  9. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  10. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, for example, when the power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  11. The AC plug is used to disconnect the device, the disconnected device should remain readily operable. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the AC power completely, the AC plug must be removed from the AC outlet completely.

Preparation for Use

Unpacking and Set-Up

  • Remove the Soundbar from the carton and remove all packing material from the Soundbar. Save the packing material, if possible, in case the Soundbar ever needs to be serviced or transported. The original carton and packing material is the only safe way to pack your Soundbar to protect it from damage in transit.
  • Remove any descriptive labels or stickers on the front or top of the cabinet. Do not remove any labels or stickers from the back or bottom of the cabinet.
  • Place your Soundbar on a level surface such as a table, desk or shelf, convenient to an AC outlet, out of direct sunlight, and away from sources of excess heat, dirt, dust, moisture, humidity, or vibration.
  • Unwind the Line cord connecting the AC adapter and extend it to its full length.

Protect Your Furniture
This model is equipped with non-skid rubber ‘feet’ to prevent the product from moving when you operate the controls. These ‘feet’ are made from non-migrating rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on your furniture. However certain types of oil-based furniture polishes, wood preservatives, or cleaning sprays may cause the rubber ‘feet’ to soften, and leave marks or a rubber residue on the furniture. To prevent any damage to your furniture we strongly recommend that you purchase small self-adhesive felt pads, available at hardware stores and home improvement centers everywhere, and apply these pads to the bottom of the rubber ‘feet’ before you place the unit.
Power Source
This soundbar is designed to operate on a normal AC power source. For North America, it works only under SMPS 110V-240V —50hz/60Hz. Do not attempt to operate the Soundbar on any other power source. You could cause damage to the Soundbar that is not covered by your warranty.

Important Notes

  • This soundbar was specially developed for LED/LCD/Plasma TVs: It should not be used in combination with CRTTVs (Cathode Ray Tube TVs) in order to avoid image interference.

  • The safety and operating instruction manual should be retained for future reference.

  • The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping, splashing or placed in a humid atmosphere such as a bathroom.

  • Do not install the product in the following areas:
    – Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to radiators.
    – On top of other stereo equipment that radiates too much heat
    -Blocking ventilation or in a dusty area.
    – Areas where there is constant vibration.
    – Humidor moist places.
    – Near candles or other flames.

  • Operate the product only as instructed in this manual.

  • Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the soundbar is plugged to a power outlet.

  • For safety reasons, do not remove any covers or attempt to gain access to the inside of the product. Refer any servicing to qualified personnel.

  • Do not attempt to remove any screws, or open the casing of the unit; there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Sound Bar Control Button

  1. Short press to turn on/long press to power off.
  2. + Increase Volume button.
  3. - Lower Volume button.
  4. M Mode button-press this button to change mode from BT / HDMI(ARC) / OPT / AUX.

1. ARC Mode:

  1. Using the HDMI cable connect to the tv. (not included)
  2. Using a High-Speed HDMI (1.4 or 2.0) cable, connect the ARC connector on the soundbar to the ARC connector on the N. ( ARC port on N may be labeled differently. For details, see the N user manual.)
  3. On your N, select source as ARC mode. For details, see the N user manual.
  4. Go to Setting in your N menu (may vary due to different brand): 1 ) Setting > Sound > Select Speaker to: external speaker (ARC Mode)/ turn off N Speaker ) Setting > Sound(audio) > advanced Audio > digital audio output > PCM Setting > Sound(audio) > audio output format > PCM/ Dolby off

2. Optical Mode:

  1. Using the provided optical cable connect to the tv.
  2. Select optical mode using the remote by pressing the INPUT button, and the soundbar indicator will show OPT.
  3. Go to Setting in your N menu (may vary due to different brand):
    I ) Setting > Sound > Select Speaker to: external speaker (optical mode)/ turn off N Speaker
    II ) Setting > Sound(audio) > advanced Audio > digital audio output > PCM Setting > Sound(audio) > audio output format > PCM/ Dolby off If you are using Smart TV apps: Apps like Netflix was set to default audio output is Dolby and DTS for the movie, but this soundbar did no support Dolby and DTS, so you will hear a crack sound or no sound, please kindly disable the Dolby and DTS on Netflix. here is the method in below:

Step 1, Launch the Netflix app.
Step 2, Select an N show or movie.
Step 3, While your N show or movie is playing, press the Down arrow on your remote.
Step 4, Select Audio & Subtitles.
Step 5, Select your preferred audio or subtitle options. (disable the Dolby and DTS)
Step 6, save the settings

Also, for the Amazon prime video app and Hulu, also please kindly disable the Dolby and DTS, the method is similar to Netflix, please kindly try.
3. Bluetooth Connect:

  1. Plugin the power cord and the display will light up (stand by mode).
  2. Press the BT button on the remote control or repeatedly press the MODE button on the soundbar control panel until bt is shown on the LED display.
  3. Search for new device on your Bluetooth player. (smartphone, tablet, computer).

Choose the device named Vmai M7 in the list of new devices detected and select it. If a password is asked, just type 0000. The *B’ display will stop flashing when the soundbar is paired successfully. You don’ t need to make this pairing procedure again the next time you connect the same device to the soundbar, it will be re-connected automatically when it is close to the soundbar with BT input mode activated. In another input mode, short press the BT button. The soundbar will enter Bluetooth mode, and pair to the previous device automatically.
4. AUX Mode:
In. After Tum on the soundbar, change to AUX input mode. (2). plug in the 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX IN connector on the soundbar and start playing from the music device
5. DC power input port:
Use a power adaptor to connect DC 19V 1.5A input port.

Using The Remote Control

Equalizer modes: The soundbar has 3 equalizer presets, tailored to complement various styles of music. Press the EQ button on the remote to choose between Music (EQ1), Movie(EQ2), News (EQ3). Only support universal remote with learning function with 4-digit coding.
*For the best controlling experience, we still highly recommend you stay with our included remote.

Remote Control Battery Replacement

Wall Mounting

  1. Measure 348mm and drill 2 parallel holes (1/4 in each) in the wall.

  2. Firmly apply a dowel into each hole in the wall. (dowel only required for solid wall)
    Solid wall(i.e., Solid brick,Solid concrete, solid wood)
    Drywall, Plaster wall, Lath wall, etc.

  3. Attach the soundbar to the screws on the wall, and press and push the soundbar to the right half an inch to lock.

Professional installation and tools are recommended.

Troubleshooting

Q) No sound comes out after connecting to TV using ARC/ Optical (Common):
– Please make sure your TV support ARC output. Then go to Setting in your TV setting (may vary due to different brand): 1)Setting > Sound > Select Speaker to: external speaker (optical mode)/ turn off TV Speaker
2)Setting > Sound(audio) > advanced Audio > digital audio output > PCM Setting

Sound(audio) > audio output format > PCM/ Dolby off – Please select the correct input mode.
Q) Why does watching Netflix, Disney+, Amazon prime has no sound or noise, some shows have sound on Smart TV?
– If your TV is a smart TV. Apps like Netflix was set to default audio output is Dolby and DTS for the movie, but this soundbar did no support Dolby and DTS, so you will hear the crack sound or no sound, please kindly disable the Dolby and DTS on Netflix. Please read back under Input Option- Smart TV set up.
Q) Why won’t my Bluetooth device connect to the soundbar?
-You have not enabled the Bluetooth feature on your device or the soundbar. -The soundbar is connected to another Bluetooth device if LED display not flash. Disconnect the connected device and try again. – Long Press the “BT” button on the soundbar, and restart the soundbar.
Q) Can I use a universal remote?
Yes, please make sure to follow your universal remote step to set up. We have provided our remote code on previous pages (0816). Only support universal remote with learning function with 4-digit coding. And we HIGHLY recommend you use our included remote for the best compatibility.
Q) Is this compatible with Fire TV/ Firestick?
Yes, Plug the Fire TV into the TV. And connect the TV using any input mode. If using Optical or ARC. Please make sure you follow our manual settings.
Q) Remote not working.

  1. Double-check if the batteries are correctly installed in the battery slot.
  2. Replace two brand new AM batteries.
  3. Please try unplugging the soundbar and plug it back in to restart the soundbar. If the issue still exists after you did the above steps, please send an email to us: help@vmaitech.com with your Amazon order ID, we will provide you with a free replacement.

Q) Why the battery is not included?
The battery is not included due to Amazon Safety Regulation. We apologize for the inconvenience.
