Brief Introduction

HOT DOG BUN is able to interlink with other smart device via YC Onion App, including but not limited to: DJI RONIN series and ZHIYUN WEEBILL series, camera light (Energy Tube, Pudding), motorized ball head (Burger Motorized Ball Head).
HOT DOG BUN is attached with a 1.3 inch sreen, crucial info will be displayed on it. With a stepless knob to adjust the motor’s speed. HOT DOG BUN reserved a 2.5mm shutter cable port, support to control camera shutter.
HOT DOG BUN supports HOT replacement between external battery and USB Type-C power supply. Providing an ensuring running security. HOT DOG BUN has Point AB Memory Function, the former set Point Ma can be used next time.
HOT DOG BUN has a maximum 20kg horizontal payload, 14kg at 45 degree, 6.5kg vertical.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

•  YC Onion App will support more ZHIYUN devices in the near future. a,
• Make sure to use the official shutter cable, avoid circumstances failing to control the camera shutter.
• AB points memory function can only memorize the former setting. If AB points are changed at new operating, the former memory will be covered.
• All payload experimental datas are acquired under laboratory conditions.

APP Download

Please head over to official APP website http://yconionapp.com to download YC Onion App or scan the QR code to download. YC Onion App requires Android 6.0 or later, iOS 11.0 or later.
Supports multiple languages, more languages will be added.

POWER SUPPLY Method

External Battery Supply
Power supplied by external battery, please insert standard Sony F550/F750/F970 (Not included) into the battery compartment.

Power Bank Supply
Power supplied by 5V/2A power bank, connected by USB Type-C to power the motor (10000 mAh power bank lasts about 3 hours).

MOTOR CONTROL INSTRUCTIONS

On/Off:
Long press the Power Button [12] for 2 seconds to turn on/off the motor.

Video Mode:
Long press Button ARM to move the slider to the left, release the button to stop. Then press multi-function button191 to confirm starting point A.

After point A is confirmed, the screen will show [Al.

Long press button 13[111 to move the slider to the right, release to stop. Then press multi-function button(91 to confirm starting point B.

After point B is confirmed, the screen will show [AB].

After setting AB point, short press the multi-function button to enter video mode.

Notice: If the screen shows ‘Set Err’, it means you set the points wrong, please follow step 2 and set again.

Mission Operating:
Short press button A[10], the slider will move to Point A. Short press button B[11], the slider will move to Point B. Short press the multi-function button [9] to stop/start mission. Short press power Button[12] to activate loop mode.

Speed Adjusting:
Only in “Video’ mode, turn the multi- function knob to adjust the speed of the motor.

Memory Function:
Memory function is to memorize the former AB points.

1. TO activate memory function, please long press multi-function knob 19) for 2 seconds, the system will enter Video mode using AB points from the former setting.
2. Notice: If the screen shows “Reset AB’, the memory function has been deactivated. Reasons including but not limited to: Former AB points had been set wrong, moved the motor in “Set AB’ mode. error in data.
3. To activate memory function on App, please click memory function button after connecting the slider, then you can use the former AB points setting.
4. Notice: If the motor fail to function, please check if memory function is malfunctioning. Reasons including but not limited to: Former AB points had been set wrong, moved the motor in “Set AB” mode, error in data.
5. Memory function requires the firmware to be 1.2 or later. For firmware updating please check step 6.

Firmware updating:

1. Turn on Bluelooth and GPS on your phone.
2. Open ‘it Onion App, connect with the motor, click the menu icon in the top right conor, click on Firmware Update to enter.
3. Long press power button(12J for 2 seconds to turn off the motor.
4. Press and hold the multi-function knob191, then press and hold power button(12]. hold these two buttons for 5 seconds then release, the motor will enter firmware upgrade mode.
5. The updating process can not be paused or canceled. Click cancel to exit firmware updating mode. Press Button B(111 to exit firmware update mode.

Firmware Restore:
If you can’t turn on the motor due to false operation, please follow the steps below to restore firmware.

1. Press and hold the multi-function knob[9], then press and hold power button[12], hold these two buttons for 5 seconds then release, the motor will enter firmware restore mode.
2. Turn on Bluetooth and GPS on your phone.
3. Open YC Onion App, connect with the motor, click the menu icon in the top right conor, click on Firmware Restore to enter.
4. Click firmware restore, the system will operate firmware restore process.
5. Wait patiently for the loading bar.
6. After finishing, a prompt window will show “Finish”, the motor will automatically reboot.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING

Long press the Power Button 1121 for 2 seconds to turn on the motor. Turn on Bluetooth and CPS on your phone, open YC Onion App to pair. Search the product in product category- sliders. Click on the product icon to finish paring and add to “My device” page.

Motor Button Control Introduction

1. Motion control:
   Long press Button A(10) or Button B[11) to move the slider. The screen will show «« or »». Release to stop. The screen will change from Running to Stop.

2. Confirm A B Points:
   Under “Set AB’ mode, short press multi-function knob to confirm AB points, the screen will show (AB).

3. Enter Video Mode:
   After setting AB point, short press the multi-function button(9) to enter video mode, the screen will show video.

4. Mission Pause Button:
   Short press the multi-function knob(9) under Video or Time-lapse mode to activate or cancel, the screen will show Pause.

5. Loop Mode:
   Short press the power button[12] under Video or Time-lapse mode to activate or cancel, the screen will show Cycle.

6. Reverse at Midway:
   Short press the opposite arrow button while the motor moving under Video mode.

7. Reset AB Points:
   Long press the multi-function knob(9) to switch between different modes, switch till the screen show Set AB to reset AB points.

Screen Icon Introduction

1. MODE:
   The screen will display “Set AB” under setting AB points mode, “Video” under video mode, “T-Lapse” under time-lapse mode.

2. STA:
   Stop: Motor stops. Pause: Motor pauses. Running: Motor in motion.

3. [AB]:
   Set AB points, display the confirmed AB points.

4. DIR, «« or >>»:
   Moving direction of the slider, moving left or moving right.

5. [Once], [Cycle]:
   Single travel or auto loop.

6. SPD: Speed of the motor, adjustable range: 1%-100%.

7. Bluetooth Paring Icon:
   After connecting to phone, the icon on the bottom right corner will change from disconnect to connect ”.

8. Power Supply Indicator:
   After turn on the motor, the screen will show the battery/DC power supply icon on the top right corner .

9. Firmware Version:
   Shown at the bottom left corner of the screen (Only shown at version 1.3 or later).
