Charging using the USB Type-C cable
Insert the USB Type-C cable into the USB port of the charging case as shown below and connect the other end to any USB Charger or charging device. The Charging Case’s LED indicators will flash while charging and become solid when fully charged.

Wirelessly charge the case by placing it on any wireless charging pad (not included) as shown below. See pages 11 and 12 for more details regarding the charging case’s LED indicators.

POWER ON/OFF

The earbuds will automatically power on when taken out of the charging case, and power off when placed back into the charging case.
To manually power the earbuds ON or OFF follow the instructions below:
Power ON:
Touch and HOLD the Multifunctional Touchpad on both earbuds for 2 seconds.
Power OFF:
Touch and HOLD the Multifunctional Touchpad of any earbud for 8 seconds.

Note: If not connected to a Bluetooth enabled device, the earbuds will automatically power off after 3 minutes.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING
Follow the steps below to pair and connect the earbuds to your Bluetooth- enabled device.
Connecting

  1. The earbuds will automatically be in Bluetooth pairing mode when taken out of the case for the first time.
  2. After the earbuds link with each other, the LED of one earbud will quickly flash WHITE while the LED of the other earbud will slowly flash WHITE indicating they are in Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. Open your device’s Bluetooth menu and find Brookstone BKH650 and select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, the voice prompt “Connected” will be heard and the LEDs of both earbuds will slowly flash WHITE.

Note: After taking the earbuds out of the case, they will automatically link to each other and then try to connect to a previously paired Bluetooth enabled device. If they do not find a device to connect to, they will automatically be in Bluetooth pairing mode.

Disconnecting

Open the Bluetooth settings on your device, and select “Disconnect” to disconnect from an already connected device. You’ll hear a voice prompt “Disconnected” and the earbuds will go into pairing mode.

Note: Do not select “Forget this device” or you will have to go through the pairing process again.

USING ONE EARBUD

You can use the Right or Left earbud alone to make or answer calls while the other earbud is in the case.

TOUCH CONTROL

The earbuds include a multifunctional touchpad. Just touch the earbuds to control the audio playback and answer calls.
Multifunctional Touchpad Operation

Play/Pause:
Double-tap the Right or Left earbud.
Next track:
Touch and HOLD the Right earbud.
Previous track:
Touch and HOLD the Left earbud.
Answer/End call:
Double-tap the Right or Left earbud during an incoming call to answer, and double-tap again during the call to end it.

Rejecting a call:
Touch and HOLD the Right or Left earbud during an incoming call.

LED INDICATORS

The earbuds and charging case include LED indicators that are used to explain their different states.
Charging Case (while charging)

Battery Level LED

0% – 30%

|

The first LED will slowly flash WHITE.

30% – 70%

| The first LED is solid WHITE while the second LED is slowly flashing WHITE.

More than 70%

| The first two LEDs are solid WHITE while the third LED is slowly flashing WHITE.

Fully charged

|

All three LEDs are solid WHITE.

Charging Case (not charging, when the cover is opened or closed)

Battery Level LED
Less than 5% The first LED will slowly flash WHITE for 5 seconds.
5% – 30% The first LED is solid WHITE for 5 seconds, then it will turn off.
30% – 70% The first and second LEDs are solid WHITE for 5 seconds, then they

will turn off.
More than 70%| All three LEDs are solid WHITE for 5 seconds, then they will turn off.

Earbuds (not in the Charging Case)

FACTORY RESET

If the earbuds are not linking with each other, or not working properly, try doing a factory reset by following the steps below. Before starting the Factory Reset process, open your device’s Bluetooth list and delete Brookstone BKH650 from your paired devices list and then turn off the device’s Bluetooth feature.

  1. Place both earbuds inside the Charging Case.
  2. Remove either earbud from the case, and touch and HOLD the Multifunctional Touchpad of the earbud for 8-10 seconds until the LED flashes RED 3 times and it powers off.
  3. While in the powered off state, touch and HOLD the Multifunctional Touchpad of the earbud for 10-12 seconds even if the earbud turns ON. You’ll hear the “Factory Reset Completed” voice prompt and the LED will flash solid WHITE once before it powers off. This will clear the pairing information.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the other earbud.
  5. Place both earbuds back into the charging case.
  6. Remove both earbuds from the Charging Case and let them link with each other (this will occur automatically).
  7. Once linked, they will automatically go into pairing mode. The LED of one earbud will quickly flash WHITE while the LED of the other earbud will slowly flash WHITE.
  8. Turn on the Bluetooth feature of your device and search for Brookstone BKH650 to connect.

Warranty service not provided
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, lack of reasonable care, unauthorized modification including software modifications such as the installation of custom firmware.
