First use

Connect the soundbar with the power adapter cable (11) and a socket. Connect the included antenna with the antenna interface (14) and place the antenna near a window, a spot with low radiation of other electric devices to avoid signal distortion.
Press and hold the power button (6) for three seconds. The soundbar starts up in DAB mode. Now it searches for DAB stations automatically. You can also use the soundbar with Bluetooth, AUX-In, USB stick, optical in or HDMI ARC. With the mode button (7) you can change the mode from Bluetooth to AUX, USB, FM/DAB+-radio, optical in or HDMI ARC.

Modes

Switch through the modes by press the mode button (7) on the soundbar or the mode button on the remote control (2).
Bluetooth Mode The speaker must be powered on before you begin to initiate the pairing. Pairing is the process of establishing a link between TX-139 and a

Bluetooth device.

Note: Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices. Check the user guide of your phone for instructions.
Select the soundbar ,,Technaxx TX-139 ” from the list of found devices. When asked the PIN code, please enter “0000” to pair the speaker to your phone.
If the pairing is successful, you will hear a connection sound and the speaker enters idle state.

Auto reconnection

When the TX-139 is in off state, switch it on and it will reconnect automatically to the last connected device if it is reachable.

USB mode

Plug in a USB stick with max. 64GB (formatted in exFAT/FAT32). Switch to USB mode. Now you can play the tracks one by one. Note: No folder selection possible.

AUX-Mode

You can play music directly from a device connected via an AUX cable. Plug one end of 3.5mm AUX­IN cable into AUX­IN connector (9) and the other end into AUX-OUT (Headphone jack) connector of MP3 Player, Smartphone, PC or CD player to listen to music.
Press the mode button (7) briefly several times to switch to AUX-IN mode. To adjust the volume, press the volume down and volume up buttons on the external device and on the TX-139.
Note: Under AUX-mode, only vol­/vol+ work. By pressing play/pause you can mute the device but the song plays along, because it is coming from an external device. Switch songs on the external device in AUX-mode.

Radio mode (DAB+ / FM)

Connect the included antenna with the soundbar to receive DAB+ and FM radio signal. Place the antenna near a window, a spot with low radiation of other electric devices to avoid signal distortion. Screw the male connector to the SMA connector (14) on the soundbar.
Briefly press the mode button (7) until you switch to Radio mode. You can choose between digital radio (DAB+) and FM radio (FM). The automatic station searches and the automatically storage of the found stations can be started by press and hold the play/pause button (4) or press on scan (12) at the remote control. Press the next track or previous track button to switch between the stored stations. Press the play/pause button to confirm a station. Adjust the volume by press and hold the volume down (3) and volume up button (5).
Note: Radio stations are saved and stored in the found order. It is not possible to change the order of the found radio stations or set favourites.

HDMI ARC

Note: Please check if your television supports HDMI ARC first. The HDMI connector should be labelled with “(HDMI-) ARC” or refer to the user manual of your television for more information.
Plug a HDMI ARC supported cable in the HDMI ARC port (12) at the soundbar. Switch to the mode HDMI. Now the soundbar is connected to your television. The volume adjustment can be done with the TV remote control.
In some cases, there are additional settings which must be activated in the TV options. Please refer to the user manual of your TV separately to avoid misunderstandings.

LED backlight

Turn on the LED by press the “LED” button (8) on the device or press LED button on the remote control (13).
To change between the colours, single press the light button. The colours are following: White / blue / green / red / turquoise / purple / yellow.
Note: The light is in off-state again after the last colour.

Enter the menu with the press and hold on the mode button (7) or with press the remote-control menu button (11). Navigate with prev/next button and enter an option with play/pause.
Options are Time/Date, Alarm1, Alarm2, Sleep time, Factory reset, System version, Backlight, Contrast.
Exit with the mode button at the device or menu button at the remote.

Time/Date

To adjust the date and the time press previous track/next track and confirm with play/pause button

Alarm Clock

You can set up two alarms on the TX-139. To adjust the alarm, use previous track / next track to choose Alarm: on, set the hour, set the minute, set the volume and set the mode (alarm, DAB+ or FM). Use Play/Pause button to confirm the input. When the alarm starts, press Play/Pause button to activate the snooze function. TX-139 starts alarming again after 9 minutes. To exit, press power.
Note: If you want to be woken up and the TX-139 should not play music all night. Press the power button to enter standby mode.

Sleep time

To adjust the sleep time, press previous track / next track to set the counter between 5 and 120 minutes (5, 15, 30, 60, 90, 120min). Use Play/Pause button to confirm the input. After the set time TX-139 turns into standby mode.

Factory reset

To set the device back to factory settings choose “Yes”. Choose “No” for cancel. Use play/pause button to confirm the input.

System version

Look up the firmware version here.

Backlight

Set the time how long it should take the backlight to go off. Set it by pressing previous track / next track. Use play/pause button to confirm the input.

Contrast

Set the contrast (0-31) by pressing previous track / next track. Use play/pause button to confirm the input.

Troubleshooting

If the TX-139 fails to link to your mobile device or if it fails to play music after being connected, the user shall check if your mobile device supports A2DP. If you cannot connect the TX-139 to your phone, do as follows:

  • Ensure that the speaker is in on-state. Ensure that the Bluetooth feature is activated on your phone.
  • Check that the speaker is within 10m of your phone and that there are no obstructions between the speaker and the phone, such as walls or other electronic devices.
  • The TX-139 powers off or does not turn on again could be a problem with the power supply.
  • If the speaker has problems to play sound files from USB, please check the correct formatting of the sources. They should be formatted in exFAT / NTFS.
  • The maximum supported data storage is 64GB. The USB port doesn’t support any external hard disk drive (HDD).

Warnings

  • Do not disassemble the TX-139, it may result in short-circuit or damage.
  •  Battery warning: Improper use of the battery may cause fire or chemical burns. The battery may explode in case of damage.
  • When the device works under AUX–IN mode, do not (!) increase the volume of your mobile phone, PC, MP3/MP4 Player, CD, DVD etc. to a large extend; a sonic boom or sound distortion may occur. In that case, decrease volume either of mobile phone, PC, MP3/MP4 Player, CD, DVD or device. The sound gets normal soon.
  • Do not modify, repair or remove without professional guidance.
  • Do not use corrosive or volatile liquid for cleaning.
  • Do not drop or shake the BT-X53, it may break internal circuit boards or mechanics.
  • Keep the BT-X53 in dry and ventilated environment. Avoid high humidity and high temperature.
  • This TX-139 is not water-resistant; keep it away from moisture.
  • Keep the device away from little children.
