General safety and maintenance instructions
WARNING
Risk of Electric Shock!
Faulty electrical installation or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric
shock!
- Do not use the product if it is visibly damaged.
- Check the product and the electrical devices to be connected for integrity before each use. Damaged electrical appliances, as well as kinked mains cables or bare wires, increase the risk of electric shock.
- The main plug of the appliance must fit into the socket. The mains plug must not be modified in any way. Do not use adapter plugs together with protective earthed electrical appliances. Unmodified main plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Avoid physical contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, heaters, cookers, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
- Do not open the casing. Leave repairs to qualified persons.
- Make sure that the on/off switch is turned off when you connect the mains plug to the mains.
- Do not immerse the product in water.
- Never handle the product or the power cord or plug with wet hands.
- Never disconnect the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the connecting cable, but always pull on the mains plug.
- Keep the product away from open flames and hot surfaces.
- Position the product and the connecting cable so that it does not become a trip hazard.
- Do not bend the connecting cable and do not lay it over sharp edges.
- Never operate the product in damp rooms or in the rain.
- Never position the product so that it can fall into the water.
- Never take hold of an electrical device that has fallen into the water.
- Ensure that no fluids get into the product; dry the product thoroughly if necessary before using it again.
- Ensure that children do not insert any objects into the product.
- Devices that have another connection in addition to the power connection (e.g. antenna line, telephone line, etc.) must have their own overvoltage protection for this input. Plugged-in power supply units must not exceed a temperature of 50°C.
- The prerequisite for the proper functioning of the product is a functioning protective conductor connection of the wall socket (protective contact socket) at which the product is operated.
- Do not expose the product to rain or extreme weather conditions, e.g. minus temperatures, hail, extreme heat.
- Despite the high energy dissipation capacity, there is no absolute safety of the connected devices in case of a direct lightning strike.
- Only use the USB connection for IT devices.
- Always switch the product off and disconnect it from the mains when you are not using the product when you clean it or if it has a fault.
- Never plugin several power strips in a series.
- The product is only de-energized when the mains plug is pulled out.

(e.g. older children).
- Children above the age of eight and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lacking in experience and knowledge may only use the product under supervision or if they undergo a suitable briefing on the safe use of the product and they are aware of the associated risks and hazards.
