Virtual serial port applications

  • Virtual Serial Application Features Overview:
The virtual serial application is mainly used to generate several virtual serial ports on the control host PC as needed. The virtual serial port generated by using this virtual serial driver has exactly the same setup interface as the pure hardware serial port (COM1, COM2) that the PC has on its own (COM1, COM2), which means that the programs that can run on the pure hardware serial port (COM1, COM2) using this The virtual serial port generated by the virtual serial port program can also run normally.
UT-620 series converter provides transparent conversion from TCP/IP to the serial port. The data received from the serial interface of the converter will be transparently transmitted to the network, and the data received from the network can also be transparently sent to the serial port of the converter.
Vir-COM mainly provides the function of mapping management and data forwarding from serial ports of UT-620 converters to virtual serial ports. After generating several virtual serial ports on your platform PC through the virtual serial port driver, use Vir-COM to map one or more UT-620 converter serial ports to the specified virtual serial port, and then start the Vir-COM forwarding function, then you can communicate with remote field devices through the virtual serial port.
