INTRODUCTION

General Information
This user’s manual describes the operation of the VirusJet diffuser and includes essential information for safe use of the product.

  • Please read this manual carefully before using the VirusJet diffuser. It has been created to allow you to effectively use all of its functions.
  • Illustrations are provided to facilitate the comprehension of the various functions of the VirusJet. They are not binding.

Classification/Regulations
The Virusjet diffuser is compliant with the following standards:

For Directive 2014/35/EU on Low Voltage:

  • TS-EN/I EC 60335-1
  • For Directive 2014/30/EU on electromagnetic compatibility:
  • TS-EN/I EC 55014-1-2

Guarantee
The guarantee certificate must be presented to the retailer or to the company Virus Guard Disinfectant GmbH, 1100 Wien, QBC 4 – Am Belvedere 4, Austria.

Subject Matter of the Guarantee
The guarantee consists of the gratuitous provision of parts which have been recognised as defective by our technical services.
Reparations made consecutive to incorrect handling, abnormal use, negligence or the overloading of the device, as well as those necessitated by electrical network variations, voltage surges or defective installations, etc., cannot be covered by the guarantee.

Transportation
The transportation of the equipment is at the risk of the user: in the event of deterioration during transport, the recipient must communicate any reserves and complaints to the carrier before accepting the delivery of the device.
The device must be stored in a dry location and transported in its original packaging.

Guarantee Duration
The VirusJet diffuser is guaranteed for a period of 2 years, effective as of the date of the invoice.

SAFETY INFORMATION

The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for any material or physical incident which occurs due to incorrect or abnormal use of the device. Follow the indicated list below:

  • Ensure that electric power matches designated standards

  • Do not introduce a flammable object or liquid

  • The device should be moved in a horizontal mode only
    The device diffuses a chemical substance , therefore it is necessary to pay attention:

  • The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction

  • Children being supervised not to play with the appliance

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer
    or its service agent.

  • Users are required to read the accompanying documents.

  • The device must be used solely indoors.

  • Do not inhale the product.

  • Do not smoke in proximity to the device

  • Do not direct the device towards an incandescent area.

  • Not to place it near a source of ignition

  • Humans or animals should not be located in the room during the diffusion process.

    • Respect the contact times provided in the usage protocols (minimum 20 minutes) before returning into the treated area.
    • In case of emergency, if a person must return into a treated area before treatment is over, they must be equipped with Personal Protection Equipment: hearing protection and PPE in accordance with the product’s safety data sheet.
    • Before allowing safe entry into the treated area for those not protected with PPE, a H202 gas detection unit can be used to measure any residual gas.
    • Entry must only be permitted when the ppm count falls below that of the requisite levels stipulated by local laws of exposure times in the workplace and mentioned in the product’s SOS.

USE

Positioning of the Device
The Virusjet must be placed on a solid surface, ideally in a corner of the room to be treated and in an elevated position, if possible

Discconnect the device and consult your retailer if a problem occurs

Maintenance

WARNING

  • Before any intervention, ensure that the device is switched off and unplug the mains cable.
  • Do not use abrasive products, bleach, acetone or solvents during maintenance or disinfection operations for the device.
  • These aggressive agents risk damaging the device’s surface materials.
  • To clean the external surfaces, use a slightly moist cloth or wipe.
  • The device should be kept in a dry and clean place remote from any possible projections .

RECYCLING

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR DISPOSAL IN RESPECT OF THE ENVIRONMENT
This product is subject to selective sorting for electrical and electronic equipment in compliance with the 2002/96/CE Directive (applicable in member countries of the European Union and other European countries with selective sorting systems.

  • This symbol on the device indicates that at the end of its lifespan, the device should be disposed of separately from household waste.
  • The device should be passed onto a selective sorting centre for electrical and electronic devices, or reported to the retailer during the purchase of a new device.
  • The user is responsible for the return of the device at the end of its lifespan to the competent sorting structures or to a duly authorised company, under penalty of the sanctions anticipated by the legislation concerning waste disposal.
  • The selective sorting performed before recycling, the handling and disposal in respect of the environment of the used device contribute to avoiding harmful consequences for the environment and health and encourages the recycling of the component materials of the device.

EMERGENCY STOP

The device can be stopped at any time by pressing on the Start/On button on the control panel (10) IN CASE OF MALFUNCTION
The device does not start or the light on the On/Off Switch ( 4) is not illuminated

  • Verify the power of your electrical network
  • Verify the fuse (3) behind of the device

The device works but does not disperse the product

  • Verify that the jet ( 8) is not blocked
