INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE RC-5S
Cooking rice
-
A 160 ml measuring cup is included with your cooker. A filled cup of rice yields approximately 2-1/4 cups of cooked rice. NOTE: Make sure that the rice is leveled when the cup is filled. The rice cooker has the capacity for 5 measuring cups of dry rice.
-
For best result, pour the desired amount of rice into a separate container. Wash and rinse the rice until the rinse water is clear.
-
Take the inner pot out of the rice cooker. Place the washed rice into the inner pot and add the appropriate amount of water. (Use the markings at the inside of the inner pot to match the amount of water needed to produce desired cups of rice. For example, 5 cups of dry rice, requires water to be filled to the 5th mark located at the inside of the inner pot).
-
Replace the inner pot securely into the base. NOTE: Make sure the bottom of the cooking pot is not bent or warped, or it will not conduct heat correctly. also make sure to always wipe the outer surface of the inner pot dry. If the inner pot is wet when placed into the cooker, this may cause a cracking noise while the unit heats up.

-

-
Mix the rice. After rice has steamed for 15 minutes, carefully open the lid as steam will escape. Use the paddle provided, or any other non-metal long handle utensil, to scoop and mix the rice well. Allow all steam to escape.
-
Keep warm when cooking is completed, the rice cooker will automatically go into the warm mode. At this time, the “warm” light will illuminate. NOTE: Do not warm rice for more than 12 hours.
