GALLET PEP 257 Bathroom Body Analysis Scale
Dear customer, thank you for purchasing our product. Please read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep these instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose.
- This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician.
- Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instructions for this unit“.
SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS UNIT
- Operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate.
- Do not put the appliance on the wet places.
- Clean the scale with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the scale in the water or use che-mical / abrasive agents.
- Always use the scael on a hard, flat surface. DO NOT use on carpet
- DO NOT use the scale on wet and slippery floor. DO NOT step on the edge of the scale. The scale platform is slippery when wet. Keep it dry!.
- Always weigh yourself with the same scales places on the same surface. Uneven floors may affect the reading.
- Weigh yourself without clothing and footwear, before meals and always at the same time of day.
- Pacemaker users / wearers, or other medical implants with electronic components, are not recommended to use this scale.
- The body fat & hydration% are for reference only. Please always consult your doctor for advi-ce of medication or diet in order to achieve ideal body fat level.
- To make sure accuracy of testing, please DO NOT use the scale in environment with strong electro-magnetic field.
- DO NOT use the scale on wet and slippery floor. DO NOT step on the edge of the scale. The scale platform is slippery when wet. Keep it dry!
- DO NOT use this scale on a place with intense shake. Keep stand still on scale when testing.
- Do not drop the device, or jump on the device when using. Avoid strong impact and sudden shake as it is a precision measuring device. The construction is delicate and sensitive to all unwanted external impact.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical. Sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of ex-perience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROLS
Insert the Batteries
- Open the battery door in the back of the scale.
- Insert the batteries (4 x 1.5V AAA) into the battery compartment according to the polarity indications marked inside the compartment.
- The digits “88888” will be shown on the LCD.
- Close the battery door and wait until the digits “0.0kg” are shown on the LCD.
CAUTION
- When the symbol appears, the device will power off in four seconds. Then you shall replace with a new set of batteries. Please replace all four batteries in the same time. Do NOT mix the old batteries with the new one.
- Worn batteries are hazardous waste. Do NOT dispose of them together with the household garbage. Please refer to the local ordinances and recycling instructions regarding disposal of the worn batteries.
Set Up Your Profile
The glass body fat analyzer supports multiple users (Up to Four). You may
follow below instructions to assign User ID and set up your own profile,
including Gender, Stature, and Age.
- Assigning User ID
- With batteries correctly installed, press “SET” key to enter setting.
- The system will request User ID selection first. As pictured below, “P1” blinks. The operator may press the function key to select User ID among P1, P2, P3 and P4.
- Press “SET” key to confirm User ID.
- Setting Gender
- After confirming User ID, the system will divert to Gender setting automatically.
- As pictured below, the portrait blinks. The operator may press the function key or to select Gender and Status.
- Press “ SET” key to confirm User ID.
- Setting Stature
- After confirming Gender, the system will divert to Stature setting automatically.
- As pictured below, the digits “160” blinks. The operator may press the function key to increase or decrease the numeral. (Range: 100 cm to 220 cm).
- You may press and hold the function key for fast changing the numeral.
- Setting Age
- After confirming Stature, the system will divert to Age setting automatically.
- As pictured below, the digits “30” blinks. The operator may press the function key to increase or decrease the numeral. (Range: 10 to 80 years old)
- You may press and hold the function key for fast changing the numeral.
- Press “SET” key to confirm Age.
When the LCD displays “0.0kg”, you may start measuring.
Select Measurement Unit
With batteries correctly installed, press “UNIT” button in the back of the
scale to select measurement unit. The default measurement unit is “kilogram”.
You may press “UNIT” button to choose among kilogram, stone and pound.
First Measurement
Please process the user setting before your first measurement.(Refer to Set Up Your Profile for more details)
STEP 1: Step on the platform barefooted.
STEP 2: Stand still and keep full contact with the electrodes until the progress bar stops flashing and the measuring results displays.
STEP 3: Then the measuring results will be displayed sequentially for three times: Body Fat, Total Body Water, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass.
Note: If it fails to complete the analysis, the LCD will only display the weight data.
Daily Measurement
- With original SENSE ON patent technology, appliance will automatically switch on as you step on the platform barefooted.
- Stand still and keep full contact with the electrodes until the progress bar stops flashing.
- According to the analysis results, the system will automatically identify the possible User ID with most similar history records. Then the measuring results will be displayed sequentially for three times.
- When the system finds out two or more users with similar history records, it will notify you to choose between, for example, P1 and P2. You may press key for P1 and or key for P2. The measuring results will then be sorted into the User ID you selected and displayed sequentially for three times.
- If it fails to identify the possible User ID, the LCD will only display the weight data.(To find out the solutions, please refer to Troubleshooting for more details).
Body Fat Indicator
The Progress Bar at the top of the LCD Display also functions as the indicator
of body fat level. When the measuring result is displayed after analysis, the
varying length of the bar indicates different levels of body fat.

No display on LCD when the device powers on.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Use a dry, soft fabric to clean the device. Or a lightly damp soft fabric with mild detergent to wipe clean the device. Do not use strong chemical solution such as alcohol, benzene for cle-aning.
- It could be slippery when the unit platform surface is wet, or semi-damp. Ensure the wei-ghing platform surface is dry before using for safety reason.
