Programming, Operation, and Information Guide
ARQ2 Vehicle integrated Garage/Gate RF Remote provides a convenient way to control the operation of the garage door and gate. Additional information can be found at arq.chamberlain.com

Precautions
If using the ARQ2™ Universal Remote Control with residential door openers, the
remote control must be used only with door openers manufactured after 1993
that utilize photoelectric sensors and garage door operators that support
safety stop and reverse features required by U.S. federal safety standards.
The photoelectric sensors are always located on or near the bottom of the door
track for safety purposes.
Activate gate or door ONLY when it can be seen clearly, is properly adjusted
and there are no obstructions to door travel
ALWAYS keep the gate or door in sight until completely closed. NEVER permit
anyone to cross the path of a moving gate or door.
General Information
Compatibility:
ARQ2 is compatible with all major garage door opener brands. Please refer to
compatibility chart at arq.chamberlain.com. Programming Requirements:
Check for garage door operator compatibility by using the compatibility chart
If your garage door opener or gate operator has switches, please follow the
standard mode for programming.
In some cases, a second person is required to assist with programming. In some
cases, you may need a ladder.
Number of Devices Controlled:
- ARQ2 can store upto 16 devices
Programming ARQ2
Note: Make sure the vehicle is parked outside and directly in front of the
garage door or gate before programming. During the programming, the Garage
door or gate
might open and/or close, please make sure the garage door or gate is clear of
any people or objects.
Supported programming methods
Standard Method: Use standard mode (Receive and ID) if your Garage Door
Operator or Gate Operator is equipped with an RF remote. Remote will be used
during the programming of the vehicle. This is the most common mode
SAAV Method: In the case you do not have access to the RF remote of the Garage
Door Operator or Gate Operator, follow the on-screen instruction in the
vehicle to program.
Programming Guidance
- Park vehicle outside in front of the Garage door or Gate to be programmed
- Get Garage door/Gate Operator’s remote with a healthy battery. If you cannot locate your remote, then please go to step 3.
- Touch the Garage Icon at the top of the touchscreen to start adding a new garage/gate operator control
- Follow the onscreen programming instruction. The On-screen instruction will guide you through the identification of the Garage Door Operator and programming.
- Once the Garage/gate door operator is programmed, follow the instruction to save the completed programming routine. At this time, you might want to test out the operation of the Garage door or gate. WARNING: Please make sure there is no obstructions or a person near the garage door/gate for safety reason.

Operation of ARQ2
To operate, simply press the Garage Icon on the infotainment screen.
Programmed
Garage Door/Gate can be controlled from the vehicle. In the event, there is
still difficulty with operation or questions related to programming. Please
contact Chamberlain at arq.chamberlain.com
Remove Already Programmed Garage Door Operator
Follow the in-vehicle Delete Device Flow to remove an already programmed
Garage
Door Operator/gate.
