BLUETOOTH MODE
USING BLUETOOTH – AN OVERVIEW
Turning On Bluetooth
- Flip the physical switch on the left side of the SK653 body. This will switch it to wireless modeFor the First Time
- Press and hold FN+Z/X/C for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. The indicator will flash a blue light when in this mode.
- Enter Pincode that showed on the device you are pairing to SK653.
- If successfully paired, the indicator light will turn white for 3 seconds and then turn off. If unsuccessful, the SK653 will enter standby mode after 90 seconds.
Turning On Bluetooth After the First Time
- When wireless mode is activated, the SK653 will connect to the previous synced wireless device (Z/X/C) automatically within seconds.
- If the SK653 cannot find the previously connected device within 5 seconds, will attempt to pair with the remaining 2 devices in sequence.
- If all paired devices (Z/X/C) are not found, the SK653 will enter standby mode
- To connect to a specific paired device, press FN+ Z/X/C after activating wireless mode to connect to the corresponding device. SK653 will link to the device if successful and enter standby mode after 90 secs if device is not found or fails to connect.
MANUALLY PAIRING DEVICES TO THE KEYBOARDSK653
- Flip the physical switch on the left side of the SK653 body. This will switch it to wireless mode.
- Press and hold FN+Z/X/C for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. The indicator will flash a blue light when in this mode. Ensure that the device you are pairing to the SK653 has also entered pairing or discovery mode.
- Enter Pincode that showed on the device you are pairing toSK653.
- If successfully paired, the indicator light will turn white for 3 seconds and then turn off. If unsuccessful, the SK653 will enter standby mode after 90 seconds.
SWITCH PAIRED DEVICES
Press FN+Z/XIC to switch to the corresponding paired device.
WIRED MODE
SWITCHING TO WIRED MODE WHEN PAIRED TO A DEVICE
If the wireless mode switch is ON
The SK653 will switch to wired mode automatically as the wireless mode is Switched OFF and it is connected to a PC or laptop
If the wireless mode switch is OFF
The SK653 will switch to wired mode automatically as it is connected to a PC or laptop
CHARGING
CHARGING THE KEYBOARD
The SK653 will remain connected to the wireless device and begin charging when it is plugged into a PC, laptop, or power source. The indicator light will be RED when charging and change to GREEN when the battery is full. If the wireless mode switch is ON The SK653 will begin charging when it is plugged into a PC, laptop, or power Source. The indicator light will be RED when charging and change to GREEN when the battery iS full. If the wireless mode switch is OFF
INDICATOR LIGHTING RULE INDICATOR ON CAPSLK
Low battery scenario
- When the battery is below 30%, a RED light will flash once every 20 seconds.
- When the battery is below 15%, a RED light will flash twice every 10 seconds and maintain normal keyboard function.
- When the battery is below 5%, the SK653 will go into deep sleep mode.
In the BT mode, linking to the device
The indicator will flash a BLUE light once/per second
In Charging mode
The indicator will show a RED light when in charging mode and change to GREEN when the battery is full
In wireless mode, checking pairing status INDICATOR ON Z/X/c
Pressing FN will show the pairing status of each location (Z, X, or C) with WHITE light.
**INDICATING KEYBOARD OS STATUS
**
When holding FN, DEL Right Shift(SK653) will light blue for Windows and white for macOS to indicate the keyboard OS status.
