ECPN W6 1800M WiFi 6 Router Installation Guide

Before you start, Know you router

Hardware connection

Please ensure that the router has been turned on and connected to the Internet Service Provider (ISP).

1. Connect the power adapter to the router’s power port and plug the other end into a power outlet. The LED indicator becomes solid green,
2. Connect the WAN port of the router to a LAN port of your modem,
3. Connect your device to the router.

To connect your Router

Basic connection Wirelessly

1. Find the SSID (Network Name) ECPN-2.4G or ECPN-5G on phone or computer

2. Click the network icon of your device or go to Wi-Fi Settings of your smart device and
then select the SSID ECPN-2.4G or ECPN-5G to join the network
Ensure that Mobile Data (if any) is disabled.

Basic connection WPS Button

Wireless devices that support WPS, including Android phones, .tablets, and most USB network adapters can be connected to your router through this method.

1. Tap the WPS icon on the device
2. Within two minutes, press the button on your router.

Note：

1. WPS is not supported by iOS devices
2. The WPS function cannot be configured if the wireless function of the router is disabled. Also, the WPS function will be disabled if your wireless encryption is wep. Please make sure the wireless function is enabled and is configured with the appropriate encryption before configuring the WPS.

Login

1. Lauch a web browser on the device which has been connected to the router. .Enter
   router.ecpn.com in the address bar to log in

2. Click Start Setup Wizard can help you to set up your router at the first time

3. Type password admin, then click log in will enter Setting page

Set up the network

Method 1: Connect to the Internet Automatically

1. Wait for the router to detect the Internet mode automatically

Note : Generally the Addressing Type is DHCP. lf it is PPPOE, or Static Please refer to Method 2, Method 3.

Method 2: Connect to the Internet- PPPoE

1. Select PPPoE from the Addressing Type drop-down menu.

2. Enter the Username and Password provided by your ISP

3. If you forget your User name and Password, Click Get from old router, Follow the instructions finish the setup.

Method 3: Connect to the Internet – Static

1. Select Static from the Addressing Type drop-down menu
2. Enter your IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and Primary DNS, Secondary DNS

Set your Wireless network and Login password．

1. Modify your Wi-Fi Name(SSID),Password (Wi-Fi password)

2. Select Dual frequency(recommended) and click Next

3. Set your Login Password or select Same with Wi-Fi password

4. Click Apply finish your setting.

Trouble Shooting

Q1: Set up router failure or forgot password?
A 1: Please restore default configuration parameter by reset button:
Press and hold the Reset button on your router with a paperclip or pin until the front illuminated turns off and the Green indicators start blinking (about 10 seconds). install the router again

Q2: Why cannot the internet appears available?
A2：The Internet appears to be unavailable
If the Internet has difficulty communicating with your router the problem may appear as a “Cannot find (Internet address)”message in your Web browser. If you know that the Internet address is correct and if you’ve tried several valid internet addresses with the same result the message could mean that there’s a problem with your ISP or modem communicating with your router

Try the following:

• Make sure that the network and power cables are securely connected
• Make sure that the power outlet that your route is connected to has power.
• Reboot your router

Q3: How to reset the route if I cannot access the web UI of the router?
A3: When the LED of the router is solid on, press the reset button for 5 seconds and release After the LED turns solid on the router is restored to factory settings. If useless to press the Reset button, please confirm long press the Reset button for at least 5 second with power on.

Q4: How to choose my connection type?
A4: You can choose your internet connection type based on the following table or by consulting your ISP
Internet connection: Internet Connection Type
Telephone line Ethernet cable PPPoE.
You need to double-clink and enter a PPPoE user name and password to set up a dial-up connection.

Q5: Why cannot my phone find the 5 GHz signal?
A5: Try the following:
-Only devices supporting 5 GHz signal can find and connect to the 5GHz network
-Enter the γouter and confirm that both signal bands have turned on.

Q6: Why cannot I access the internet after successfully connected to the router’s network?
A6: Try the following

• Make sure that an Ethernet of Internet cable is securely connected to the blue Internet port on the back of the router.
• Make sure that an Ethernet of Internet cable is securely connected to the appropriate porton your modem (This port on the modem is usually labeled Ethernet)

Q7: Why can『1otMyWind口内N5 device detect router wireless networks?
A7: Some older Intel adapters include: Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-3160， AC-3165, AC-7260,AC-7265 and AC-8260) didn’t support wifi-6 well, follow below item Download the latest wireless network adapter drivers, and then install it.

Q8: How to set the Repeater mode on your router?
Al4:

1. Sign into your router’s Web-based administration: router.ecpn.com
2. Tap of click Application on top menu
3. Tap of click Repeater
4. Click Scan Wifi
5. Select the Wifi you want to extended
6. Enter Your Wi Fi Password
7. Click connect

Q9: How to connect to xfinity cable Modem?
A15:

1. Connect to the Wi-Fi of the router and log in to the web management page: router.ecpn.com
2. Tap or click Network on top menu
3. Tap of click WAN Setting
4. Select PPPoE in Connection Mode
5. Enter the User Name and Password of the Internet Service Provider
6. Click Save /Apply
