Repeater Quick Installation Guide
MODEL: XDB-WP6870
1. Product description
1-1. This is a supplement to wireless local area network, which can expand the range of WiFi. Easy to use and easy to install.
2. Simple installation steps
2-1. Plug in the power and the power light will light up, and connect to WiFi
“RepeaterNew-xxxx” after about 30 seconds
2-2. Log in to the IP “192.168.10.1”, enter the password “admin” and click
“Login”
2-3. Enter the software management interface and click “Relay Mode”
2-4. Scan and select the WiFi to be extended, enter your WiFi password, and
click “Save Settings”
2-5. Complete the setting and reconnect to the new SSID “xxxx_Ext” WiFi. The
password is the same as the main route.
3. Working mode
3-1. The software has 5 working modes, including relay mode, bridge mode, AP
mode, client mode and routing mode (PPPoE dial-up, static IP, dynamic IP)
3-2. Bridge Mode Setting: Enter the software management interface, click
“Bridge mode”. The bridge mode setting method and relay mode The setting
method of the mode is the same, please refer to the setting method of the
relay mode.
3-3. Client mode setting: enter the software management interface, click the
setting method of “client mode” and relay mode The setting method of the mode
is the same, please refer to the setting method of the relay mode. After the
setting is successful, use a network cable to connect the repeater to The
computer is connected, and the fixed IP of the computer can be accessed.
3-4. AP mode setting: enter the software management interface, click “AP mode”
for easy management. The IP address entered here The address and default
gateway should be the IP segment of the upper-level router, and the IP address
cannot be the same as the upper-level router. The router’s IP conflicts. After
the setting is completed, the WAN port of the device can access the external
network through the set IP address Network to access the management device.
(1) Note: When accessing the external network in AP mode, other mobile devices
access the IP address obtained by the AP wirelessly. The network segment is
allocated by the upper-level equipment.
(2) According to the default setting, there is no need to set the device-
specific internal network IP address. At this time, you must manually set the
IP address of the local network card connected to the computer.
3-5. In AP mode, you can set the wireless SSID name and password. After the
setting is completed, the prepared WAN port is connected to the external
network; other mobile devices connect to the SSID name of the device
wirelessly, and enter the password for connecting to the internal network.
3-6. Routing mode setting: Enter the software management interface and click
on the routing mode to access the Internet in three ways; “PPPoE dial-up”,
“static IP”, and “dynamic IP”.
(1) PPPoE dialing mode: This mode requires the Internet account provided by
the network service provider to fill in the number and password. The wireless
SSID name and wireless password can be set below.
(2) Static IP mode: This mode needs to fill in the IP address, subnet mask,
gateway, and primary DNS address provided by the network service provider. The
wireless SSID name and wireless password can be set below.
(3) Dynamic IP mode: In this mode, the WAN port is assigned IP by the upper-
level network equipment to access the Internet. You can set the wireless SSID
name and wireless password below.
3-7. WPS pairing connection:
Plug in the power supply and start the device. Press the WPS button of the
repeater and the WPS button of other WiFi routers in turn. The standard WPS
negotiation can be started within 2 minutes to connect the WiFi device of the
repeater to the WiFi network of other routers.
4. Troubleshooting
Question 1-What is the function of a WiFi extender?
Answer: Expand the range of existing WiFi and generate stronger signals in
hard-to-reach areas. Please note that it cannot increase the WiFi speed of the
router, and the speed of extended WiFi will be reduced.
Question 2-Where should I put the WiFi extender?
Answer: We recommend that after the installation is successful, move the WiFi
extender to the middle position between the router and the weak signal area.
The location you choose must be within the range of the existing WiFi router
network.
Question 3-How to reset the WiFi extender?
Answer: Short press the RESET button (1 second) and wait for the factory
settings to be restored. When the light goes out and then lights up, you can
restart the setting.
Question 4-Why can’t I log in to 192.168.10.1?
Answer: Before connecting to the IP, please confirm that you are connected to
the WiFi “RepeaterNew-xxxx”. Please follow the step 1 of the above
instructions “How to install”.

accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the
user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the
following measures:
— Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
— Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
— Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.
— Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
The device shall be used with a minimum distance of 20 cm from uses.
