Pulling the Network Adapter Module Out

NOTE: Turn off the server and unplug the power cord before pulling the module from the server.

Inserting the Adapter into the Slot
Step I: Unfold Slot Cover Step 2: Plugin Slot Carefully

Step 3: Ensure the Adapter Stable

NOTE: Insert the adapter into the PCle slot corresponding to the server (eg: PCle X8).

Connecting the Cable
RJ-45 copper cable
10GBASE-T requires Cat6, Cat6a or Cat7 Cable
Fiber optical cable
Make sure that the connector is oriented correctly

NOTE: The fiber optic port contains a Class 1 laser device. Do not expose the port as this may result in skin or eye injury.

Installing the Windows Driver

First, turn on the computer, and when Windows discovers the new adapter, the “Found New Hardware Wizard” appears. Extract the update package from the CD to a specific path. Open a DOS command box and go to a specific path and type setup at the command prompt to extract the driver.

Checking the Status of the Indicator

Indicator Light State Description
LNK (Green/Yellow) Green light Run at maximum port speed
Yellow light Run at a lower port speed
No light No link
ACT (Green) Flashing green light Data activity
No light No link
