Before installing ShiftPower, carefully read the operating instructions and safety information in this manual.

  1. This product is designed to improve your vehicle’s throttle response. By installing this device you agree to exempt ShiftPower USA and Faaftech from any responsibility when interacting with ShiftPower while driving;
  2. Using ShiftPower, the driver must drive responsibly, ShiftPower USA and Faaftech are not responsible for the driver’s decision to drive in a dangerous or illegal manner;
  3. When using the product, never exceed the speed limits determined by the local traffic laws;
  4. When using the ShiftPower App, follow local laws and use responsibly. ShiftPower USA and Faaftech recommend using it only while the car is parked in a safe place;
  5. Installation must be performed by professionals with training and experience in electronics and automotive accessories. Damage caused by incorrect or improper the  installation will not be covered by the product warranty;
  6. Do not stick adhesive tapes on the interface information label to avoid loss of information and consequently loss of the product warranty. The label contains information such as serial number, software version, and Bluetooth password;
  7. ShiftPower USA and Faaftech reserve the right to change the general, technical, and aesthetic characteristics of its products without prior notice;

Installation

Follow the instructions below to ensure that the product is installed correctly and to prevent vehicle warning lights.

  1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key from inside the vehicle;

  2. Keep only the driver’s door open for 10 minutes for the vehicle system to enter Stand-By mode;

  3. Remove the original accelerator pedal connector, connect to the female interface connector and connect the male connector to the accelerator pedal;

  4. Choose a location on the panel, clean well, and stick the Mode button / Indicator LED;FAAFTECH SP24 Throttle Response Controller - fig3 Note: Use the included tie wraps to secure the module and wire harness in place to not interfere with the driver’s feet or the operation of the vehicle’s pedals or steering.

Operation

  1. Driver Modes
    When the ignition is switched on, the Mode button will indicate the current driving mode through the LED illumination.
    To switch among driving modes, tap the Mode button / Indicator LED or use the ShiftPower App.

  2. Valet Mode
    The Valet Mode limits the throttle response to 30% and can be adjusted between 15 to 45% through the ShiftPower App. To activate/deactivate the Valet mode, press and hold the Mode button until the illumination LED turns Blue (5 seconds) or through the ShiftPower App.

  3. Lock Mode
    Lock mode works as an anti-theft device, canceling all throttle responses.
    To activate/deactivate the Lock mode, press and hold the Mode button for 10 seconds or via the ShiftPower App. When activated, the illumination LED will flash Blue and
    White. When deactivating, the ShiftPower will return to the last selected mode before activating the Lock mode.

ShiftPower App

  1. Downloading the App Go to the Apple Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), search for ShiftPower then click Install.

  2. Connecting the Smartphone

  3. Turn on the vehicle ignition;

  4. Make sure that the smartphone’s Bluetooth is turned on, then open the ShiftPower App, click on and select the corresponding ShiftPower device with the one  escribed on the interface label;

  5. Enter the password located on the interface label and at the beginning of this manual to pair the smartphone;

  6. Finalize the pairing by inserting the vehicle data;

  1. Bluetooth connection
  2. Settings
  3. Shows throttle response level. Touch and move the arrow to select a customized gain
  4. Indicates the current driving mode
  5. Activate/Deactivate the Valet mode
  6. Switch among the driver modes
  7. Activate/Deactivate the Lock mode
  8. Shows the ShiftPower versus original response

Customizes the response gain of the Dynamic, Sport, SuperSport, and Race driving modes.

4.2 Vehicles

4.3 Illumination
FAAFTECH SP24 Throttle Response Controller - fig21 Once activated, the Mode button / Indicator LED automatically adjusts between day and night modes.
*Function available only while the smartphone is paired and ShiftPower App is running.

4.4 Safety

Turning on Unlocking by Presence, ShiftPower will disable Lock mode automatically when reconnecting with the Smartphone.

Important Note: For security, we recommend keeping the Password to Lock and Password to Valet functions on to avoid undesired activation.

Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing one of the problems listed below, check this guide for a quick fix. If the problem persists, contact technical support.

Problem Solution

After the ShiftPower is
installed, the accelerator does not work and the instrument panel indicates several operating errors| Check that connector are securely locked at the
accelerator pedal and the interface module
Confirm the model number of the ShiftPower is correct for the vehicle it is installed. Visit Shiftpowerusa.com
The vehicle has limited acceleration| Turn off valet mode. When activated, the mode button LED illuminates blue (see page 10)
The vehicle does not respond to the accelerator pedal| Turn off the Lock mode.
When activated, the mode button LED switches between blue and white (see page 10)
When pairing the Smartphone with the ShiftPower, a
password is required| The password is printed on the information label of the ShiftPower module and at the beginning of this manual

Warranty

ShiftPower USA and Faaftech guarantee its customers a period of 03 (three) years against defects in raw material and manufacturing, proven by presenting the respective invoice from the reseller to the consumer and this Warranty Certificate duly completed, observing the following:

  1. ShiftPower USA and Faaftech declare the Guarantee null and void if it is found by it, or by technical assistance, that the device has suffered damage caused by misuse, improper installation, accidents (falls, knocks, etc.), or even signs of being breached, adjusted or repaired by unauthorized persons;
  2. The Warranty Certificate will only be valid when filled out together with the Invoice of Sale to the Consumer;
  3. The repairs and maintenance of the appliance under warranty will be the exclusive responsibility of ShiftPower USA and Faaftech assistance;
  4. Products with an adulterated or unreadable serial number will not be covered by this warranty;
  5. Shipping, insurance, and packaging expenses are not covered by this guarantee, being the sole responsibility of the owner;
