Quick Start Guide
2.8-inch Linux Visible Light Product
Version: 1.0
Due to regular upgrades of systems and products, ZKTeco could not guarantee exact consistency between the actual product and the written information in this manual.
Components
Installation
a. Mounting on the desktop holder
- Plug the power cord into the power interface.
- Fix the backplate to the desktop holder.
- Insert the backplate into the device. And use security screws to fasten the device to the backplate.
b. Mounting on the wall
- Recommended height from the ground is 1.5m and can be adjusted according to the personnel’s average height.
- Fix the backplate onto the wall using wall mounting screws.
- Insert the device into the backplate. (Plug the power cord into the power interface before installation.)
- Use security screws to fasten the device to the backplate.
Power Connection
Recommended power supply:
- 5V ± 10%, at least 2000mA.
- Please use the supplied power adaptor.
Add User
When there is no super administrator set in the device, press to enter the
main menu. After setting the super administrator, the system will request the
administrator’s verification before entering the menu. For security purposes,
It is recommended to register a super administrator the first time you use the
device.
Click to view the menu. Select (User Mgt] and then add [New User].
Settings include user ID, name, user role, verification mode, face, password,
and user photo.
Configuring Wi-Fi
Click > [Comm.] > **[Wireless Network) to configuring Wi-Fi.
When WIFI is enabled, tap the searched network. Enter the password, and
tap Connect to WIFI (OK). The connection succeeds, with an icon
**displayed on the status bar.
Attendance Search
When users verify successfully, attendance records are saved on the device.
This function enables users to check attendance logs.
Click > **[Attendance Search] > **Attendance Record], enter the
User ID (if the user ID field is left blank, records of all users will be
displayed) > select Time Range, and the corresponding attendance logs will
be displayed.
Device Reset
a. Device power off and restart
Method 1: Click > [System[ > enter System settings interface. Press (Reset)
to power off the device and restart.
Method 2: Use the tool to press the Reset button on the bottom (a slight
click sound will be heard) for 3 seconds, then the device will power off and
restart.
b. Restore Factory Settings
Restore the device, such as communication settings and system settings, to
factory settings (The registered user data won’t be deleted).
Use the tool to press the Restore button on the bottom (a slight click
sound will be heard) for 3 seconds, then the device will power off and
restart.
FCC Warning
Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible
for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and
can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to
the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference
that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of
20cm between the radiator & your body.
