Example of integration of MetalScan V1.5 in glove

This product is only intended for integration into non-electronic equipment (glove for example) MetalScan V1.5 is a patented metal detection system, developed and manufactured in France.

Technical Information

• Use in the 1kHz-148.5kHz frequency band with a maximum radiated power of 25dBuA/m at 3m.
• The product must be powered by a 9V 6LR61 Alkaline battery, excluding any other technology.

Usage environment

• The product can be held in the hand, in a residential or industrial environment
• Intended for indoor and outdoor use.
• Operating temperature range -10°C+55° C, 93% RH.
• The product must not be submerged.
• The product is insulated for pollution degree 2 (EN 61010-1: 2010, chapter 3.6.8).

Example of usage

• When metal is detected a vibration will be felt. The product does not emit sound or light, which allows you to stay focused on your research. Just move your hand over the search area. The intensity of the vibration depends on the size of the detected metal object, which alerts you to the object and the possible size.
• Detection is continuous as long as the LED is lit green. For a correct use of the product, it is necessary to remove jewelry and metal watches from your hands and wrists as well as all metallic objects present in the jacket or trouser pockets.

Power on/off

• The button is on top of the electronic module
• The device is activated by pressing the button for 1 second: a vibration is then felt and the LED Lights up green.
• The unit is off by pressing this same button for 2 to 3 seconds: two vibrations are then felt and the LED goes out.

WARNING

In order to preserve the battery, the product automatically goes into standby mode (off mode) if no metal is detected after 15 minutes and the LED goes out. To re-activate the unit press again for 1 second to feel 1 vibration and the LED will light up green.

Battery replacement indication

When the battery is running low, when on, an abnormal and continuous series of vibrations indicates that the battery needs to be changed in the near future.

Storage

Keep the product away from humidity and in a temperature range between 0°C and 40°C.

Maintenance

• No maintenance is recommended.
• When the product is not in use, disconnect the battery.

Like any electrical appliance, improper use of this product or failure to follow the instructions can lead to overheating, ignition, or even burns. Always follow the instructions and product labels.

• Do not use the product if any of the cables are worn or damaged.
• Do not cut or pierce.
• Do not make holes with pins or a blunt object.
• Never use this product with an infant, child, unfit person, or anyone who cannot
• fully understand the instructions and/or operate the controls.
• Do not try to open the battery.
• Do not try to open the plastic case.
• Do not pull, twist, bend or pierce the coil.
• Do not use the battery if it is wet.
• Do not use the product if the air is completely saturated with humidity or if you are immersed in water.
• Do not use your equipment when it is creased, rolled, or folded.
• Do not pull on the power supply cable.
• Do not expose the product to a heat source.
• Do not place heavy or large objects on it, such as a suitcase.
• Do not wash the product.
